But we were low from the middle of the 1970’s till the year 2000? Except for Eddie Mays years.

That’s not my point, so many fans who have moaned since the year 2000 and say they were there??????

Annis, my standard answer is ‘if you were there during the Durban era, only then do you know what a poor standard of football at Ccfc is.
Think I went to almost every home game that year and one or two away :bluescarf:

Spot on Andrew, and I was there during all his games , if you can call them games.
Let’s say me and Durban had words in the dressing room away at Walsall after the cup game in midweek , we lost 6-3 and he did not care , so after the game we had more than words in front of all the team.
He has to be our worst manager of all time.

Exeter away in the cup, Durban had to have a police escort from the dug out to protect him from the city fans :-)

He did  And Deservedly so, he honestly did not care.

Imagine what Barry Welsh would say about a nil nil draw with Rochdale?

Absolutely spot on.

Sky get so much criticism regarding having so much Premier League coverage but before Sky there were barely 30 games a season, players were shite, pitches were shocking. Hardly anyone cared.

It’s a lot different now. Before sky nobody was arsed.

Heavy jail sentences around that time for things you could almost get off for previously, and sky investing changed the football landscape forever
