I can see Mike Dean being rested or dropped to the Championship for a week after these two games he's been in charge of this week.

But VAR is not and has never been the problem. VAR can't fix poor judgement.

VAR works if it's been implemented properly, but it hasn't been.

Yes very true about var but that begs question of the competency of those using it? Past week as highlighted how poor the officials are and tonight well what possible excuse can both of them have for getting it so wrong?
As the pundits said even with var they get couldn't get a simple decision right...... as I said earlier perhaps FA need to open academy so officials can learn how to referee
and officials implement var properly because both are bringing game into disrepute at the moment.

Suchek red card rescinded ! Unfortunately mike dean received death threats in aftermath of decision so as asked to be relieved of duties this weekend....... think he was heading for that due to previous decisions past week.... but extremely poor officiating by him and couple of other refs recently what's going wrong is big question.?

indeed...it is whoever thought it was a technology which it is not...and those that still see the emperors clothes are the problem.. its totally dependent on a refs opinion watching on monitors...there is no more a standard or uniformity of decisions now than there was in the old etonians v royal engineers... different ref = different decisions.. the West Ham one ..waw... but if thats given live in real time by Mike Dean... he has the defence of...watched it since and not as bad as i had thought.... 4 minutes of watching replays and then go along with the VAR guy...nahh....so how do you implement human thought properly...?

Sad to see him and his family receive death threats, no need for that.

Requested not to referee a Premier League match next weekend but is refereeing Leicester v Brighton in the FA Cup on Wednesday.

Par for the course now in football some weird people about 5hats for sure.... do think they need to look st way var is used and go back to basics of ref makes decision and only asks var if hes in doubt or not sure to look at it... offside should be only if foot is offside not armpit or as in other day players arse! at least got focal point that is easy to see and measure... var is good but not way we implement it.
