A long time coming...Mr Tan get someone that will hit the ground running, none of the shite managers get someone good, a player manager would be good, James Milner coming to the end of his career...

I honestly think he was hired to drain the swamp and get the wage bill down before a new bigger name manager takes the reigns and rebuilds. In no way can they have thought he was the guy to get us promoted . His record shows nothing of the sort.

A bit like Slade

It worked before why not again

Let's hope Mr M does the job

Managers often aren’t given enough time in the modern game, but Harris was given long enough based on performances and results. The correct decision and in hindsight, should have happened weeks earlier.

My only questions are were this months signings purely chosen by the board based on age, performances, cost and resale value? Has there been contact with an imminent replacement who identified them? Was Harris the one who pushed for them?

I understand there’s a committee for such things, but surely they’d all have different priority targets? We will never find out I suppose, but hopefully they will be in the new managers plans otherwise the money should have been kept aside.

I like the sound of that tbf. He is still playing for the champions though so it be hard to get him to give that up

They were low risk signing who our scouting team had obviously looked at. It would’ve made sense to sign them even if Harris was close to the door. The thing is, say we appoint a manager early next week, he’s very little time to assess the squad before having to decide what we need to do in the transfer market. Whichever way you look at it , it was the right decision to give those players a chance. Guess we won’t be signing Simpson now though...he must be thinking wtf

Yes, with the relatively low costs involved, it’s worth the gamble. Plus it brings the age of our squad down slightly and hopefully injects a bit of pace. NG really impressed at RB in his first appearance, so good luck to them both!

We are all waiting for the announcement but if the decision has already made whoever it is will have been pouring over the recent tapes of us already, guaranteed.

I think the announcement will be made before 5pm today.

Mick McCarthy until the end of the season at least. I'm quite content with him coming in. He has a good eye for a bargain, knows his way around the championship and will take absolutely zero S**T from any of the players.

First task is to replace Curtis Nelson!!

Harris reign is split into three parts really:

Appointment to lockdown - very slow improvement
Lockdown to end of season - superb run of form and performances
This season - from bad to worse

I liked the guy but I cannot argue with the sacking, six defeats in a row is an awful run of form and I don't think he knew how to turn it around.
