How is him not being told our fault as some have said or implied ?

He probably wants guaranteed regular football. Would Harris drop Nelson?

Or maybe he finally feels Nelson isn't the best partner for Morrison?

I agree with those sentiments if that’s his thinking.

It's not our fault but still doesn't stop it being implied it was Harris's fault because it looks good to them! :o

I have no knowledge on Simpson at all but it seems like Ciaron Brown has more playing experience than him judging on the number of competitive appearances.

I also remember that Ciaron Brown couldn't be recalled until Jan so maybe worth getting him back in?

its not.... deals do not always happen for all sorts of reasons....Sam Allardyce said yesterday , WBA will make 250 enquiries { probably a bit exaggerated but was making a point on how its not as simple as some think } during this window and end up signing 3 or 4 players....

Onwards, he had his chance, don't want to be here, move on.

Yes, appreciated that (the Benkovic thing) and nothing was meant by my reply other than Nelson is not doing so well :thumbright:

Is it just me,or does anyone believe that you first agree a fee for player, then get given permission to talk to him on personal package,ie. Wages, length of deal on offer etc? And surely the manager has told him he isnt in his plans, and if possible will be let go? Just my thoughts.

sometimes players find out through agents/media even before clubs have spoken.... i think what you said is how it works in an ideal world but scouts go and watch players and people talk...

With only 6 months left on his contract this may be his agent offering him around in an attempt to get Bournemouth to offer him a new contract. Not saying it is that but could be.

Just another average championship player thinking he belongs at Liverpool.

If the player doesn't want to come, fine, it's his mistake, we move on again, plenty of talent out there, we just need a good scouting team to find them..

Can't blame him, probably would have joined if we were in a sniff of the playoffs but we're miles off and play shit football.

Harris has taken us back to the Slade years we'll be mid table fodder for the next few seasons signing garbage from the lower leagues.

Cardiff are still very hopeful Jack Simpson is not def turning us down, he is thinking it over tonight.

Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall has asked Jack Simpson to reconsider and sign for Cardiff City :thumbright:

You can understand Jack Simpson's reservations.

Brought up in a side with a mentality of playing football. Offer comes in from Cardiff who during his career have mostly been known as long ball. Seeing a likely mate and ex-team mate (Wilson) going through what he is at the moment. I woukdn't be surprised if Wilson said 'don't make the same mistake - manager is a clown'.

But you arent allowed to approach another player under contract, without getting permission first? But I get the bit about agents and scouts, especially the scum that most agents are!

you are not wrong.... but it crosses my mind every deadline day... all these players criss crossing the country for rushed medicals... how do they know what deal they are rushing towards unless their agents have sorted it in advance

I would imagine if a medical has been booked, then the player would have accepted terms already? Isn't the medical usually the last thing to fall up into place? At least in the uk.

NEIL HARRIS:

Jack Simpson…

He is a Bournemouth player. I am not going to talk too much about someone else’s player.

We have made an enquiry but I will leave it at that, no need to discuss any further.
