Permanent signings :

Kieffer Moore £2.5mill
Dillon Phillips £750k
Max Watters £750k +
Perry NG £250-500K (TBC)
Jack Simpsonn £750k (TBC)

Puts us around conservatively £5million mark

Add to that we have signed four premier league loan players which would include large wages and fees :

Harry Wilson
Jordi Osei Tutu
Sheyi Ojo
Filip Benkovic

Harris has certainly been backed this season and debunks all the myths about Tan not backing the manager and wanting out.

We should be thankful for his continued contribution in these times

yes the spend could always be less.. and we would probably be heading for league 1 if it was less..
thankful for us not heading for lge1 and not having mountains of 3rd party debts ? i think most people are.
backing the manager by bringing players in while losing other players ? to some degree every club does that... but for me backing the manager means giving it a go...and he doesnt , and hasnt for quite a few years.

In this thread I put an alternative point accross and said that I felt the post was one sided, nothing personal just a differing view.

I was met with a reply of 'your post seems to blinkered AGAINST the Club' suggesting I'm in some way against the Club I love, which I'm not, clearly from my posts for anyone who actually read them. I took that personally.

The most frustrating things on here are when people post opinions and claim them to be actual fact, I said throughout the thread that the figures I used might not be factualy correct as I don't work on the Club Accounts department.

I love the Club and don't blame them for their stance in the pandemic but in the same breath don't think you can say they have backed the manager financialy either. The accounts, I think will show us wiping our face which as I said is fine.

The bottom line is though that you always lose the argument when you get personal. It's why Roathy thrives on here as people bite to him and yes I have been one of the worst culprits for it :)

Anyway, there's definitly no banging my head against a wall here, 9/10 im posting with a smile, sometimes michchieviously but never maliciously.

Intersting that you can say someone's post is one sided but when it is said back to you , you take it personal ?

I never got personal once , I said the post SEEMS blinkered against the club.

Thomas, it’s been said by a few in here , you must work for the club or a relative as you overboard on defending the board and never let anyone have their opinion. Mate everyone knows they inflate the prices for the media and the fans .
Tan has had most of his money back and for some reason he is backing Harris.
Do you know why he is backing Harris mate?

unfortunately thats how this debate has gone..... you post things about CEOs and Managers which i agree with but then go on to make out Tan is backing managers to a degree he really is not..... what we are doing is replacing who are leaving and reducing the wage bill.... thats fair enough but to make it out to be more isnt right...

Exactly what is happening, Tan is not funding these transfers, Harris is moving players on etc and sold a few thats where the money is coming from, a fact :thumbright: :thumbright:

every club at every level brings in new players while others leave for whatever reason.... its part of the business... and essential....yes we could have signed some lge1 released players but with lesser players than moore, wilson , ojo where would we be now....it really would be considerably lower than 15th.....

I didn't need to say your post was one sided, IT IS one sided. That's nothing personal. You looked at it from one side of the coin only. I put the other side of that coin accross by painting the other side of the picture as have Annis and Skid amongst others. Unfortunately you were unable for whatever reason to accept the opposite view and chose to suggest I was against the Club. That's personal.

I really hope you can see the difference.

Not really , I always look at everything down the middle. My post was anything but one sided unlike the other posters mentioned opinions on the board and Tan.

Your post "seemed" blinkered against the club. Try reading the post properly. Whether it was supposed to be or not , that is how it came across. It was nothing personal but you seem to want to make it that way for whatever reason which is something I'm not interested in getting into.

I put a straight forward post to highlight the fact the board have supported the manager in very trying times. That is a fact and anything but a one sided view

Theres nothing more I can say other than you are completely blinded by trying to be right you can't see where your wrong and I'll just let people decide for themselves.

Your OP is there in black and white for all to see, completely one sided. Focusing completely on any money spent whilst completely ignoring all the money received from sales and released players.

If it was a balanced post on the boards financial backing you would have factored in EVERYTHING, but you didn't, therefore your post is one sided.

i think our squad was light going into the season and believe Harris thought so too , although he did toe the line for a month or 2 insisting it was fine...amongst other things .1 RB, an inexperienced one at that ? ...people say things like this and you insist we have spent loads and implying this is backing the manager...a phrase ive always associated with backing him to a point where we are really giving it a go...not just filling holes...
