A name that hasn’t been mentioned who I believe is currently without a club.. David Wagner.

Done a fantastic job with Huddersfield, and spoken of very highly by Mark Hudson in regards to his philosophy and management skills.

The question is does Vincent have any interest or ambition on taking Cardiff city to the next level again? 15th in the league with a squad which should be getting into the play offs on paper. Unless he gets a decent manager and releases some of his funds I can honestly see us being in a relegation battle next year. Good squad but lightweight, but so many players out of contract next year and with Wilson and OJo going back to parent clubs I struggle where we will get any creativity at all next year.

We laughed at the Jacks at the start of the season, look at how their doing with a good manager and academy players coming through?

Never see any Cardiff scouts in the valleys with plenty of good quality youngsters going to waste. Overhaul needed.

It’s time for him to go but let’s not kid ourselves that it’s all down to one man.

There is no forward thinking from anyone at the club.

From top to bottom Cardiff need a huge shake up, at the moment though potential buyers will now want to give less money due to the virus.

I agree with the David Wagner shout I'd like to see him appointed. Plays progressive football and has proven track record of getting out of the Championship and at least survived a season in the Premier league.

It worked out well for Leeds though . 50/50 gamble is surely better than 100% failure in keeping Harris

Its not 50/50 though is it. Bielsas pedigree is in an elite league, he's managed sides in top divisions all over the world plus Argentina and Chile national teams. He had often walked from jobs rather than being sacked. And he still hasn't any grasp of the English language and he was a risk. Imagine us on here moaning after a nil nil draw that it's no wonder. It was a very brave appointment but paid off in bucket loads. Leeds had plenty of bad choices before. Derby the same but haven't made the lucky one yet. Closest they got was Lampard but their successful season under him was really on the back of his loan signings and they still lost in play offs. Its more like 1/20 than 50/50.
Seedorf, Klinsmann wouldnt know where to start. And Vierra wouldnt touch us or Tan and Dalman with two barge poles joined end to end.
Need a Brendan Rogers Steve Cooper type currently in an elite clubs coaching set up. No idea who that may be but I'm not the chairman of a football club. Maybe we should counsel Huw Jenkins for an opinion as he appears to have more know than Dalman.

was sacked in September after going 18 without a win.... what he did at Huddersfield...he signed a dozen players in one window , mostly the sort of players { not top end } from abroad that he wouldnt be able to sign now ... thats not to say he wouldnt be able to do a job now, just that conditions have changed....

We are currently a lower championship team at best. People need to realise this and the management need to stop talk of playoffs/promotion etc. The football is poor and will not get better anytime soon, so support the team for what they are. Untill we get a new owner who is prepared to invest substantially more to get promoted and stay in the Premier league it will be businessas usual. Football is not priority in this country atm with Covid killing people so be thankful that football is being played. I feel the frustration with the constant ping pong and not establishing ourselves as a Premier league team. Happy New Year to you all.

Do you know what I would love to see happen......get an amalgamation of the top 5 anti Harris dissenters on this board together, as a unit, and let them manage the club for 2 years.........and then see what happens!!!!!

We'd be lucky if we were still in the EFL.

FFS, get a grip, this is not a video game, or fantasy football for that matter. This is real life, this is a Manager who has the right ideas, unfortunately, for what ever reason the players cannot seem to implement them.

Why does everybody go straight for the Manager's throat? Why not look at the piss poor performances our defence puts in week after week? Why is Morrison not getting slated? Or Nelson for that matter? Or the holding midfielders?

The team need to f*cking wake up.......just because we are not allowed to be there does not equate to "we don't care".

Harris is not the problem.......the shit performances of OUR TEAM are!!! :bluebird:

As ever, a great (and somewhat alternate) view; and one many will see the value of :thumbright:

However, for me the players have stopped playing for this manager and whilst I accept the root cause was the latter part of the Warnock era, we have a squad more than capable of being in the top 6 right now and we proved it last season's end

For me, any success at this club is currently in spite of rather than because of this manager (a bit like Man Utd and Chelsea in the Premier League)

BarryWelsh88 (Dai Hunt discounted) the obvious choice next; has all the answers, apparently ;) :laughing6:

Do you honestly believe that? If I don’t set the right strategy or tactics for my team at work, ask them to do things that they aren’t capable of, have the marketing expert running logistics or don’t motivate them properly who is at fault? My team or I?

Harris is not getting the best of of players who for the most part are proven at this level or above one way or another.

We have midfielders who spend more time sitting next to the centre backs, attackers who are constantly expected to pick up the ball with their backs to goal, attackers whose first job seems to be to defend, tactics that see our players close the pitch up rather than stretch it, defenders who are out of form still being picked, no youngsters really in the team (despite his own stated agenda), players being played out of position, no variety in any of our set pieces...including the ridiculous continued use of those long throws, no energy to break at pace and a complete lack of cover in positions where it is needed.

So of course the players have to take an element of responsibility, but the buck sits with the manager to make the most out the individuals he has signed and have them play as a team rather than a group of individuals.

1 year on and I still can’t work out what the hell his plan for this team is and how he wants us to play football.

Bellamy already had talks with the club.

Well, you've been right on a couple of things of late (Benkovic potentials leaving one of them) and I'd love you to be right on this one, Karl :thumbright:

More up late, Karl

Bellamy with AN Other experienced coach would work for me and I'd give him time

My experience him (limited) is that he is motivated and knowledgeable to succeed. Let's not forget he almost got the Wales job over Giggs and must have learned a fair bit since

I know Annis has spoken to him at length and was pleasantly surprised by what he ad to say and how to go about it

Will the club swallow the pill and (maybe) a little bit of pride? I really do hope so... :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Chris,

Same problem mate tend to doze for a few hours and wake up as bright as a bird! I’ll be in Tesco at 6am to avoid any crowds ha ha.

I don’t know Bellamy only what I’ve been told. If that’s right it’ll be the shake up we need. I’ve said it for a while I like Osian Roberts what a wasted talent. He’d be good for Bellamy and could help sort out the Academy’s problems.

It’s all speculation at the moment let’s hope it’s sorted soon. There’s something fundamentally wrong with the squad and I don’t like it. Keep safe mate.
