The whole Arab Spring created the situation we are in now. It was Cameron trying to get himself a Nobel Prize. Caused utter mayhem and we have been living with the consequences since.

Best part was he did it a year after stripping the Armed Forces down like crazy.

When you look at the Middle East how can you attempt to apply western liberal values ? The only democracy is Israel and ever likely to be so. Ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair is urging the government to give as many people as possible an initial dose of a Covid vaccine - rather than preserving stocks so there is enough for second jabs.

The Pfizer-Biontech and Oxford University-Astrazeneca vaccines require two doses to be fully effective.

Mr Blair said his idea would speed up the vaccine programme so the country could come out of lockdown sooner.

In the Independent, he argued the roll-out must be "radically accelerated".

The UK has pre-ordered 40 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and 100 million of the Oxford University Astrazeneca vaccines.

More than 500,000 people in the UK have now been given their first dose of the vaccine.

The two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine are administered around 21 days apart.

In a statement, Pfizer said this was needed "to provide the maximum protection", adding: "Health professionals are advised to continue to follow the official guidance on administration of the vaccine."

If I thought I was wrong then I would certainly admit it, does it not seem strange to you that the second jab originally 3 weeks after the first is now changed to 12 weeks, without any proof that it is going to have the same protection as having it at 3 weeks ( which had been tested)
Having a medical background myself I do think I am more than qualified to comment.

Numpties on here are now squirming because the people who have sanctioned the vaccine that they will get are now saying the same thing. One Dose will offer greater protection. Pfizer have said that they didn't look into the prospect of extending the time period because their research was based on 3 week interval.
