Norwich aren’t our competition. Watford and Stoke are our competition and we beat both of those teams away. Three points off the playoffs. (Likely to be more later I know)

Talk about rebuilds all you want our fickle fans don’t have the patience. Talk about the football DJ used to get slated despite the football. We haven’t played good football since him.

We really don’t help. Awful, impatient fans.

Awful fans?

How can ten years of poor football be impatient. I haven’t enjoyed the football we play since Dave Jones left. It might be 4-3 or 3-4 but it was exciting and got you off your seat. I’d like to see more pace and creativity but think we need a new manager and a couple of transfer windows for that. Here’s hoping. :banghead: :bluescarf: :banghead: :bluescarf: :banghead: :bluescarf:

We got Dave Jones sacked.

Awful fans?

Yep, I stand by that.

The ones who are on here and Facebook slating the players/manager constantly no matter what he does.

They aren’t supporters.

The negativity on here is frustrating and depressing at times. I don’t look at the board anywhere near as much as I used to because of that. Everybody is entitled to their opinion about managers and players, but I don’t think this board is representative of the broad majority of our rational, sensible and loyal fan base.

I actually preferred it under Malky and Warnock true the football wasn't as good but we got promoted under them and didn't with Dave Jones. Most fans would prefer success and crude football than failure and nice football. Trouble is now we are in a sort of no mans land with poor football and neither what you could call success or failure.

A lot on Facebook too. But I agree it’s not the majority. However it’s those that would be constantly on Murphy’s (for example) back when he tried to beat a player and failed. Same with Josh Low and many other players I could mention.

At least you are honest.

Many aren’t.

I always remember the numbers who stopped going because of the red two years after the red had been in play but in reality because we had been relegated and playing shite football.

Awful fans? No. Not at all. Accepting we lose is part and parcel of the game. Twice we have been to the Premier and twice we tried to do it on a shoestring. Twice we have been relegated with substantial parachute payments. Twice we have failed to use that money to build a young and vibrant squad. Twice we have been lumbered with managers whose sole purpose is to "balance the ship" or "get rid of the deadwood", this would infer that our recruitment is piss poor. Well guess what, it is. Short term thinking cost Mr Tan and Cardiff City literally Millions. At what ever point it comes the next change of manager needs to be ground shaking that reverberates right through the club. An ethos, a brand what ever you want to call it needs to happen. We are treading water every season. That can't continue, as eventually we will sink.

Nothing wrong with wanting to see our football team go toe to toe with teams like Norwich rather than pass it sideways, backwards and lump it up and so try to hang on in and maybe nick a goal from a dead ball.

Nothing wrong with wanting to see some creativity, high tempo, pace and skill and more basically some ambition technical ability and doing the basics ie closing down, passing, tackling and movement.

Not since Jones’ days have we had anything remotely worth watching.

It’s unacceptable in this day of highly paid professionals for our manager to say yesterday was a game too far and the squad was tired. Truly pathetic.

We’ll sleepwalk through this season. We’ll win some, lose some and end up 9-12th.

Where is this tried it twice on a shoestring shite coming from?

First time we got promoted we were the 6th biggest spenders. It was spent poorly. We also spent considerably the season before.

We had a poor manager spending too much but shoestring it was not.

Here is the full list for those that care.

1- spurs 107m
2- Man City 94m
3- Chelsea 65.5m
4- Arsenal 42.5m
5- Southampton 35.5m
6- Cardiff 34.6m
7- Man Utd 28.5m
8- Liverpool 23.3m
9- West Ham 21.5m
10- Swansea 21m
11- Sunderland 19.1m
12- Hull 13.8m
13- Norwich 13.6m
14- WBA 12m
15- Crystal Palace 10m
16- Aston Villa 9.5m
17- Stoke 7m
18- Everton 5m
19- Fulham 3.3m
20- Newcastle 700k

I’ve ignored any undisclosed as they probably won’t make difference to anything.

Nope nothing wrong with that at all. I would love that.

Sadly that’s not where we are the moment.

It would be awful fans if we had a say in the Harris appointment and then turned on him. Warnock went as he was starting to lose the fans goodwill and there was a genuine sense that the fan base sought a change from the longball style. The appointment of Harris was not universally welcomed and therefore there will be a constant undercurrent of disgruntled supporters who have a belief that along with their years of loyalty that they have a desire to be entertained every now and Then. Harris is not to blame for the style of football it is the people who appointed him.
