Some people are not happy unless they are moaning about something. Not the best performance but a sign of a good team is to grind out wins when not particularly playing well.

agree with both of you...had Watford and Stoke both beaten us they would be top and second tonight and there are people looking for fault. :?

This was a great win against a team that are very hard to beat at their own stadium

Didn't expect it, thought we did enough though and I'm one happy Chappy tonight! :D :ayatollah:

I was impressed again by Harris too, he makes some great runs in behind which is really refreshing to see.

According to the old saying, going to Stoke on a Tuesday night is a test of quality and character, which we passed. Two great away wins back to back, roll on Sunday!

Oh Mr Positive strikes again. You always look for the shit in every performance Thomas.......please wake up, this is the Championship, sometimes other teams will try everything to stop you playing (that's what a good Manger like O'Neill does)!

Do you want us to actually get promoted?

Just a quick note, we are second in the form table for both the last 6 and last 8 games. Would be first but for two individual errors costing us four points against Millwall and Coventry. Some people on here are never happy unless they are moaning.

Showed great character in literally dragging themselves up by the bootlaces and winning the game.

Morrison was having a nightmare with the own goal and giving away the penalty and yet still came up with the winning goal.

Coped well enough with a Stoke team on a good run themselves and who had also kept clean sheets in the last three games and had only conceded two goals from set pieces all season.

Hopefully keeps confidence levels on a high going into Saturday's game.

Ojo my MOM for crunching that cnut Shawcross near the end - just wish he'd kicked the tw*t a bit harder.

Well done Harris and the lads!

Glatzel took his goal well.

These are the games to get 3 points when you don’t play well. I hate Stoke anyway !!!

Now to Saturday. Sol you need to lose weight ha ha

I thought Stoke deserved the lead at half time....just.

They had a very weak team out but were edging it against us. That was worrying. The penalty should have tied the game up for them. They missed it and out of the blue we scored 2 goals and after that we looked very comfortable for the win.

I'm hoping that's the bad performance put of the way with the wonderful winning streak we are on.

Absolutely dire!

But a win is a win. We can’t expect glowing performances week in week out. We’re Cardiff, we don’t do that!

Glatzel completely stunned me with that goal! I genuinely can’t imagine us having 2 goal scorers in double figures this season! Been a good few years since those days! 2010 season wasn’t it!???

Either way, let’s av’it Jack bastards. Bore draw I reckon.

Agree a superb ugly win by so called Yes man Harris and his team.If it had been Malky or Warnock’s team it would classed as an outstanding result against a tough Stoke team who remember beat Warnock’s team on Saturday! Let’s continue with our fifth win in a row against the Jacks on Saturday which will take us very near the top 6!

I think some on here are totally unreasonable to think that top quality performances can be churned out game after game, especially when 3 games are played every 7 days. It's inevitable that energy levels will drop which is bound to have a significant effect on the team's performance.

What is crucial is the mindset of the players and nobody can criticise them on that score. Confidence is also key and with every win, regardless of how it's achieved, that will continue to grow. Well done lads !

Nothing lucky about 4 wins on the trot, the first two were very comfortable home wins and the last two were against two very good sides from the top 6 and away from home too. Ohh I'm sorry

I will change my verdict of the first half to make you happy

First half we were absolutely fantastic, we were so good we didn't even need to shoot to win the game . Stoke hardly touched the ball and some of our passing was world class. Defence was rock solid even when they conceded a soft goal it was just lucky and Stoke didn't deserve it.

Is that better ?

The positives were we fought back after a pretty shit first 70 minutes and Harris made the right substitutions and tactical changes at the right time. Still doesn't get away from the fact we were awful first half.

The comment wasn't aimed at you specifically but you can read for yourself the other comments in this thread about how poor a display it was.

It wasn't a great footballing displaying for sure, nobody in their right mind would claim that  But in terms of effort and character, particularly after the penalty miss, it was pretty impressive and that's all we can ask from any City team.

It was a terrible game but a battling performance to get a great 3 points

Both teams looked tired and “leggy” from the first whistle but I don’t completely buy into the Stoke injury crisis. They managed to bring on Vokes, Ince and Shawcross so not exactly down to the bare bones where they?

Personally, I think Harris is going to have to freshen things up on Saturday...Glatzel, Murphy, Holliett, Pack and Cunningham a couple of these might start
