Re: FAO OF THE CCFC BOARD & YES MAN NEIL HARRIS

The club needs to get with the times and change the direction.

After Warnock there was an opportunity to do that and the club failed - hiring another Warnock type just without the experience and achievements.

You can change the style of play quite quickly - sign the right players and mould the rest. Other managers have done it. Harris promises a lot but delivers very little. He is a sound board manager.

Seeing us in 18th at the moment reminds me of before when Warnock came in. We look lost on the pitch and playing with no identity or structure.

A loss tonight and we really are in it this season - the sh*t that is because this run of games needs to yield a healthy return to get us anywhere back in the picture and looking upwards. Unfortunately there has been no suggestion of going on a run of results and everyone seems to be hanging their hat on it.

It’s a strange one as with the new signings I expected this squad to kick on this season not struggle ......
The following players should be good enough to play 3-4-3 , 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 , whatever formation when you look at those names on paper ,....not including Tomlin whose injury should have been treated the moment we lost the play offs

Osei-Tutu Benkovic Morrison Nelson Bennett Cunningham

Bacuna/ Ralls/Pack/Vaulks

Murphy Wilson Ojo Hoillett

Moore Glaziel

So frustrating .....

I thought we had no chance of going down but each and every game that Harris stays in charge it becomes a reality

He’s lost the team, lack lustre and no desire.

What do they do in training? Get him out and get someone else in before we get further in trouble.

Thomas,

Theyve every other year sacked people, moved the majority of players out etc etc and got No where the facts are there for everyone to sadly see.

The truth is Our CCFC Board or Committee as they call themselves have NO one on board who has a clue about football and there lies the problem.

Malky was a yes man. Very happy with the red from what I remember. Did nothing about the academy either. Spent loads and we crawled over the line (albeit winning the championship) but weren’t ready for the next season. Then spent 10.5 million on Cornelius. Without football people like that on board (and Moody) Tan probably thought he was better off with a painter.

Ridsdale and Sam were both football people. But we were in court constantly over unpaid debt.

I understand that results are not the be-all and end-all. It's about producing talent. Losing to little clubs like Crewe is worrying saying all that though :o

Annis, years ago football league clubs would gamble on loaning kids from us. Not anymore! I beleive ur right about the committee, it's so sad that they are beyond any consequence to the mess the academies in. Cardiff used to do great bringing kids through in the 90's and I bet was on fractions of the budget! Those kids could handle pro football.

Mike Flynn never comes knocking for players and that says it all when he has to ask across the Severn bridge at Bristol City for players, never us! :|

Crawled over the line

Won our first ever Championship and win us promotion to flight football in 50yrs, reached the play offs yr before and see with Liverpool Carling Cup Final and never in the bottom 3 of the Premier League, all facts you can’t even dispute :thumbright: :bluebird:

As to the identity I pulled Malky up on that and he replied “I am here to run the football side, not the politics side , I will do my talking on the pitch.” And that he did :thumbright: :bluebird:

That’s sums Tan up the painter :laughing6: :laughing6:

Malky was not in charge of the Academy, that’s totally down to the owners.
Malky first team manager .
Malky brought in £180 mill through promotion and success in the cup etc :bluebird:

Sam got us two promotions, never relegated , left the club 5pts top of the Championship, a top Academy, a squad full of quality and outline planning for the new stadium .

Remember when Sam cane we were in league 4, when Tan came we were in the play off finals one game from Premier League .

The argument that nobody at the club knows about football stood up about 8 or 10 years ago. Now we have a owner who has been involved in the game for over a decade running a club that has played at the highest level of the game twice.
He owns multiple clubs throughout the world including teams in some of the biggest countries and leagues. He has hired big named and time served managers who he has learned a lot from. He has a lot of very successful businessmen on his board of directors who themselves have been involved in football for multiple years .

In fact Vincent tan is about the third or fourth longest serving owner in the championship.

Nobody can say after 10 years of running a football club at he highest level that they do not know anything about football.

Tge first teams failings are down to a manager not living up to the clubs standards that have been set over the last 10 years, I fully expect that to be addressed in the coming days and a replacement made.
The owners and board cant be held responsible for results when they have spent a fortune on this squad and made money available year after year. Even this window we were the 4th highest spenders in the league and signed four premier league loan signings who were not cheap.

Kids teams for through stages of being good and bad depending on age ranges . The actual facts are that result wise they are performing poorly , when you dig deeper you can actually find out that the u23s this year have mainly just turned 18 or 19 and have a low average age compared to the other teams.
Some of them were playing kids football last season and now they are playing against fully grown men. They have been thrown in at the deep end because the u23s had a big clear out due to not being good enough which is fair enough as We shouldn't keep them if they had no chance of making it. This u23s team will grow over the next two years and most of the players which people either do not know or handily forget when having a dig at the club won there respective u18s league last season.

The u18s have the same issue , they have nine 16 year olds in the squad and seven 17 year olds. They are in there first year at u18s and will be playing against players who have been at that level for 2 years. Its a big big step up from u16s and takes time to develop physically.

There have been a lot of big adjustments at those levels over the last year or so and this was probably to be expected

Course he can say it. No matter that it’s bollocks he can say it.

When was the last player produced that we sold for more than a million? Or who played over 25 games for us?

What I will add is that under the current owner we wouldn’t be selling class home grown players for cheap like we did under previous owners.

Come on 11 yrs later

Excuses excuses

The buck stops with the man at the top and now with his so called committee.

Also I keep updated on all these yrs and most clubs they play are lower lever teams and also playing their kids.

Just be honest we are failing at all these 3 levels, results are embarrassing.

Sorry I forgot to ask how many kids have made it in our our first team under the current regime ?

In fact Vincent tan is about the third or fourth longest serving owner in the championship.

Nobody can say after 10 years of running a football club at he highest level that they do not know anything about football.

Course he can say it. No matter that it’s bollocks he can say it.

When was the last player produced that we sold for more than a million? Or who played over 25 games for us?

What I will add is that under the current owner we wouldn’t be selling class home grown players for cheap like we did under previous owners.

Neil never answers questions

Neil, for once admit your in the wrong and we are failing at all levels and we have not advanced 11yrs later.

A sad fact.

We are actually going backwards in everything.

Well that will be put to the test once he has produced one.

Where are all these future players after 11 years

I'm not against disbanding the academy completely and starting afresh after the club thourogly reviews how it failed. Incredible how absolutely nothing talent-wise been produced for more than a decade

Thomas,

Theyve every other year sacked people, moved the majority of players out etc etc and got No where the facts are there for everyone to sadly see.

The truth is Our CCFC Board or Committee as they call themselves have NO one on board who has a clue about football and there lies the problem.

I’ve answered the previous 56 times you said the same stuff undermining our owner.

If Tan micro manages you give him shit. If he doesn’t you give him shit.

Face it, you are going to give him shit whatever because he isn’t Sam.

Can’t criticise Sam for his youth development. I have told a story about him talking to a parent of a youngster and how impressed they were at his knowledge of all aspects of our youth team. It was only after the game that he was asked ‘Dad why were you talking to Sam Hamamm?’

However he had a motive. He was needing to sell those players to balance the books. As proven by selling Earnie (to our future feeder club), Gabbs, Collins. Then Gunter and Ramsey were sold cheap due to the mess the club was in.

Have I missed any others? We aren’t exactly blessed with talent coming out of our academy even before Tan. However what I will say is that some of the best players to play at the City have been during Tan’s stewardship. And if we are counting things that matter.

Zero court appearances for owed money under Tan. Business knowledge matters.

It was Langstone not Sam. Didn’t Sam say they were not the same? Lol.

None of those were wind up hearings like we regularly faced.

Like I said I’m not gonna be critical of Sam as he started us going. But as someone who appreciates both of them Tan is a better owner in so many ways. Mainly because he is a billionaire and can afford to be but it doesn’t change the facts.

Now if Sam was a billionaire it would have been a hugely different story. We probably would be a top eight club now.

Re: FAO OF THE CCFC BOARD & YES MAN NEIL HARRIS

Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:58 pm

Firstly Harris has got to go not just on results but on the poor standard of football.

The board will choose a yes man, however Cardiff need a vision to play football. Not the crap we have churned out for a number of season and a number of managers. It would be nice to watch a game of football i can actually enjoy and if we win happy days!

To be fair to Tan he has backed the club with a budget in these difficult times compared to other clubs, and if wanted to sell us surely would have ehen we in the premier. Be careful what you wish for i remember the Cardiff in Division 3 and 4. This is the most successful the club has been in my 50 years.

Hopefully the board will read this and choose a suitable manager who will play football and youth a chance. This side has played best when Bagan started and is thd best crosser of the ball. Get the crosses in so Moore can score. What a frustrased striker with no service???
