Decent starting line-up but we must start well again or this Bristol side are more than capable of causing us problem

Well then :(

Asleep again! Why did we get that lad from Leicester and he’s not even on the bench.

Anyone know where he is? Total joke that we sign him and not even near the team

Said it before say it again Morrison at fault again! Same thing 2ft away and cannot stop ball going to player or fails to block its happened on several occasions now... never mind poor defending it's about marking player next to you and he does not do it ... :banghead:

Nothing to do with Nelson being dragged out of position leaving his full back wide open against 2 players then when he realised too late ran away from the man he originally marked who was then also left open in the box and scored easily

That was shocking defending by Nelson and his reading of the game is awful
Everyone said Morrison and Flint can't play together but Morrison and Nelson is even worse

Not closing down like mid week as soon as bristol have it we back off instead of engaging back to defending mindset arghhh

Yes said defending awful in build up to goal.... but who was 2ft from scorer like hes been on numerous occasions and failed to do anything about it? It was a soft pass wasnt difficult to block player or ball he did neither nevermind poor defending at end day it was blocking scorer that mattered most...

Same s**t!!!

We are so desperately difficult to watch this year. Not sure what the answer is but pretty much every game has been a painful viewing experience!

I agree morrison was slow at reacting but 5 seconds before that Nelson was marking the guy who scored out of position then turned around and left him alone in the box

Harris needs to go. We aren't going anywhere under him other than bottom half/relegation candidates.

We are so far inferior to Bristol City is it painful to watch and I have turned off.

The game was over after 2 minutes they are too up for this and controlling the game.

One little step forward after a game v a poor Barnsley side and 2 giant steps back after coming up against a half decent side.

I can't imagine any manager getting less out of these players.

Ojo is a wet blanket, no aggression and goes down to easily.

The goal appitimises what's wrong defensively failure to stop ball going wide and being crossed into area... then a player fails to mark or block the scorer not rocket science but we fail miserably to do it? Do we have defensive coach?

We seem an easy push over to be honest.

Half - Time - 0-1 .

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:51 pm

We still rely on a mistake or a bit of luck from long balls and set pieces

No decent chances coming from open play

No interlinking between forward players

Midfield not getting up in support

Its just play it long win a set piece and hope to get to the ball first

Poor game plan and totally different to the Barnsley match when we looked dangerous in open play with two up front

Ojo

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:51 pm

Surely ojo is one of the worst wingers we have ever had he falls over all the time can’t beat his man and no pace what is the point I’d rather 2 up top like Wednesday

We’ve actually been decent apart from the first two minutes. Should be level. Moore missed a great chance.

This is like lot of games you wonder how they are going to score? Dont look like it as not really made any clear chances but live in hope again! :bluescarf:

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

A lot of high emotions on here tonight. Sloppy goal to concede but we’ve been the better team first half and we should be going in 1-1

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:52 pm

We are by far the better side. Totally undeserved lead from Bristol. How Moore missed that header. We need to score early second half and then I can see us going on to win. Just need a bit of luck now

Re: Ojo

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:53 pm

He looks the same player tonight that started the first 4 games

Hes going to be frustrating this season as he's either really good or shocking

Doesn't seem to be any middle ground with him

Chris Martin

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:54 pm

Quite apt that he should pick up a Yellow!

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:55 pm

Ojo off at half time and go with Glatzel and Moore
Ojo is just too pedestrian and is consistently losing possesion.

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:55 pm

To be fair, if this was still 0 - 0 there would be cause to praise the Bluebirds performance, who had the better of the first half without really pushing the ball home beyond a couple of half chances and a decent shot by Bacuna that went straight to the keeper

Lots of possession; but with possession must come product and the Bluebirds have so far failed to come up with the goal their play might have deserved

HALF-TIME: CARDIFF CITY 0 - 1 BRISTOL CITY

Exactly. We’ve been the better team, created a few decent opportunities. Moore should have scored at least one. Actually played some really nice stuff at times. Ralls and Pack have been good. Wilson and Ojo not quite at it.

Re: MATCH THREAD: " CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY " MATCH THRE

Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:56 pm

Look at Ralls during the build up to the goal he runs towards the centre where players are marked he doesn t look to his right...he should ..have..... and closed down the player who fed the last ball out to the right...and Morrison does exactly what he has done on numerous times..not tight enough

Apart from another poor start after some bad defending I thought we actually dominated the game. Stats back it up too.
