The players body language and the level of performances will be more of a worry at this moment, but the next 2 games are crucial , this will either see him gone or the jury out until xmas.

Hes lucky there,s no supporters in the ground to voice their opinions.

I think Pearson would be brilliant if Harris does go. Did well at Watford last year and should never have been sacked

Annis,

He surely is however we did play some of the best football around and on a bad day it was far better than what we are getting now! Something is amiss when a lot of players don’t perform?

I’d think the board are not happy and have already looked at other options! Someone in that squad is rocking the boat and that needs addressing :ayatollah:

They have been running a top championship club in this country for over a decade. Plus two seasons in the biggest league in the world and multiple other clubs around the world in different countries.

They know a lot about football now and definitely more than any of us on here about the inner workings of professional football.

Well they don’t appear to learn from anything and continue to make a pigs guts of it.

I wouldn’t trust them in charge of any company I owned.

What mistakes do they keep making ?

If you wouldn't trust a man who built his business up successfully over many years making himself a BILLIONAIRE with your business then you are a fool

If you could sit down with him and take tips on how to run a business succefully you should lap up every single word.

Our chairman is also very successful multi Millionaire who had worked for and chaired some of the biggest financial, marketing and banking institutions in Europe

We are very lucky to have two very successful businessmen running our ub

They might be superb on running their businesses however it’s clear they are lacking on the Managerial side of the team. Do I need to list the managers? :ayatollah:

Yes it has but there is no board decision been made.
The results coming up will define.

No decisions have been made at board level and the results are being watched obviously.
Things can happen quickly though.

Yes with the benifit of hindsight OGS was a bad appointment but it did not look like it at the time. He had an outstanding record as manager of Molde and playing in England for several years the only thing against him was he did not know the championship very well. I think the vast majority thought it was a good appointment at the time. He turned out to be a bit of a disaster but it was not really predictable that he would be so bad.

Cook or Pearson woul be fine for me but as someone else has said Pearson is a prickly character who falls out with every club he manages.

Two wins in Cardiff's last nine games, they have to win this, otherwise we will be getting involved with the teams in the bottom three.

Karl, some great football at times, but after 6yrs, DJ failed to get us promoted and always bottled the big games, very arrogant man and never had any respect for our fans or our club, also a very lazy manager.

Re: Heard tonight that the board is split:

I’d love it if they went in for Eddie Howe and told him he has till the end of next season to get us up, with the long term plan of playing an attractive style of football. Look what he did at Bournemouth, the way they played, and how long they stayed up, we are a much bigger club than Bournemouth.

My only concern would be is Eddie Howe a one man club ? Or would he even entertain us ?

Nigel Pearson, I thought the guy was treated really badly in his last role, and not sure if he would fit in with the hierarchy we have (but I also didn’t think NW would either)

Paul Cook - doesn’t really do it for me, I don’t think he would be much better as Harris at this level, only had one season un the championship and got relegated.

Bellamy - Would be a risk due to his inexperience, but allegedly is very highly regarded at the club, again I don’t think that’s right after how he left, adored by most of the fans, but they would turn quickly if the wins don’t come. So for me its a no.

Tony Pulis - One that seems to be forgotten, has been mentioned and allegedly been considered before, would be able to work with the current squad due to his style of play. Has he had his managerial highs already though ?

Then don’t forget the manager we already have in Harris - proved last season he can turn the team around, personally i think he was sulking at the sale of Pato (and possibly Etheridge) then got himself into a rut and hasn’t yet got out of it. If he can sort himself out then I believe he can sort the team and consequently the results out.

So for me.

1st - Give Harris a bit more time (ie Xmas) unless no wins in November.

2nd (Joint) Eddie Howe, but I don’t think he would come, therefore its Nigel Pearson and lets all hold on tight to the roller coaster.

I would be concerned and or underwhelmed with any others above with perhaps the exception being Pulis

Also I was uncomfortable writing this with Harris still in charge, so rest assured and as above my first choice is to persevere with Harris to urn it around.

With you on last sentence, but if fans were in attendance, surely thise not showing the fight/desire to play would also deserve the anger of us fans?? As its them that are letting us down,as much as "the buck stops with the manager " rhetoric is ok,those not putting in the effort on the pitch deserve as much stick!

It was really interesting to hear the way Kieron Dyer spoke about Bellamy as a manager on Sky a few weeks ago. Seems to think he’s the real deal.

Just one mans opinion though.

NEIL HARRIS:

Neil Harris on his discussions with Cardiff's board

I speak to the board. We all want to win football matches. No one is more disappointed when we don’t win than me.

I take pride in my job and I’ve got a very privileged position at Cardiff City and I’ve come here to be successful and I want to win. I don’t need anyone reminding me of my duties at this club.

The board have been fantastic to me, they have been supportive and continue to be supportive. The owner knows I’m a winner and a fighter and I want to do that.

I have shown in my time here that even with a bad spell we come out the other side and quickly start to win games again and that is the aim now, starting tomorrow.

For a few of our players I just don't think there's much left in the tank after last season's efforts - they hear this talk of reaching the play offs but I doubt they really believe it. Secondly, I keep mentioning it, but for the life of me I just don't see why we brought in Harry Wilson. Into Warnocks PL squad, yes, into Mackay's promotion squad, yes, even into one of Dave Jones' squads, but it strikes me a little of desperation on the part of the manager. I'm not really sure any manager would be doing much better with this squad, so I'd say barring two poor defeats this week, give him another 4 or 5 games - it's still very early in the season..

This squad lacks creativity. Wilson can play on the wing and in the number 10 role. He would probably walk into the majority of teams in this division and a few in the prem. Why wouldn't any championship club want to sign him?

No reason, it's just that I would have thought an out and out centre midfielder would have been the No 1 priority. Most Championship clubs would benefit considerably with Wilson in the side - I just don't think we'll get the best out of him..

So Choo wants him, and Dalmin unsure but what about owner Vincent Tan? Tan is the main man at the club and ultimately has the last say on whether Harris could go or not. So its up to our owner Tan to decide.

Can’t believe we’ve turned in to a political thread when this is about Neil Harris.

In January 2012, Dalman joined the Cardiff City F.C. board, Ken Choo joined a couple of years later.
Both sadly don’t know hardly anything about football and on the business side we should be in a way better financial situation than we currently are.

Tan has run our club for over 11yrs and had 6 CEO’S & 10 managers .

Two promotions to the Premier League bringing in £350,000 plus much more, for me this alone should of solved our financial situation.
