Might happen of course but not very likely.
the saying is talk is cheap... he breezed in with all his academy this pathways that.... and had a few even saying how he loved playing the kids..
so i looked at his record at Millwall and the B/Shter alarm went off... 7 months later 10 are gone ones with western super mare, one with haverford west another at cheltenham and we are down to mark harris..
If they arnt good enough he can't play them. Sure you've said that on here a few times about our youth players. Harris has been here less than a year, he can't pull youth players out of his arse straight into the starting 11. Still a poor return, but harris has involved the youngsters more than our last few managers.
ive said it loads of times. its not exactly rocket science either.. . yet he turns up and pretends he can pull them out his arse as you say.. yes it is less than a year...so achieve first mouth about it second........and no warnock was already pushing players up through the age groups and the academy was in the process of a revamp when this bloke arrived ,check it out its all documented here and in the press... and while at it check previous managers using kids against this bloke...he has used less than any of them...
Warnock left us with one of the oldest squads in the divisionBellamy came out and said there was no opportunity for youth to progress. The youth setup might have been changed but that was not down to warnock. The fact that bringing down the average age of the squad is part of our transfer policy says a lot about our recent transfer history.
So because Harris has said he wants to create a pathway to the first team for youth players (isn't that what we all want?) , 7months down the line, you think we should have team full of youngsters? These are the players you defended warnock for not playing as they weren't good enough. Is it harris fault that they have not turned into championship players in the short time hes been here?
whats the age of the squad got to do with the academy not having quality... or rather his academy remarks? and no i didnt expect anything , as said i KNEW it was hot air ..., i actually believe our previous managers and academy managers. why wouldnt you when player after player when leaving goes down 4 levels or more.... thats the point isnt it.. if its not there its simply not there, if you or anyone else became ,manager tomorrow i really wouldnt expect you to magically bring players through either.... but i doubt your a bull shitter so probably your first few interviews wouldnt be full of bull shit about academy players... not unless you were pretty confident there were a few close to a first team call up anyway...
You made out as if Warnock was renown for promoting youth. Whereas its clear he prefers older and tried players.
The club have publicly said they want to bring youth through, Harris has only responded to that as well as the questions asked in press conferences regarding youth. Hes said he wants to create a pathway to the first team by reducing the squad size- the size of squad has significantly been reduced allowing that. Harrris said he wants youth players exposed to the first team - they've been involved in training, featured in pre season and played cup matches. What exactly is he mouthing off about? The next step is for youth players to play league games. If they are not good enough to make the step up, then that can't really been put down to Harris’s efforts.

no i did not make out .. he is like most managers..if there is talent to be used they use it, if not, you dont..irrelevant where it comes from... managers do not harp on about academies.... if you check back youll find the better players trained with the first team under various managers its normal....it happens all the time at every club everywhere, it wasnt invented by harris ....and no he did not use kids against northampton..well he gave one half an hour which is much the same as others have done.. pathways , yes i heard { while looking at the sky } ...bought a path laying business has he...or is it exactly the same as its been for ever here and everywhere else ... which is if good enough and circumstances are favourable { injured/banned players in your position } youll probably get a chance..if not good enough only an idiot would play you .

Northampton the only cup game he's managed is it?
I am not claiming Harris has come up with an innovative way to involve the youth players. Just stating that he is implementing what he is saying in interviews. Smaller squad=more opportunities, kids involved in trianing and competative games etc. Or is that false? Might not be anything new but he is doing it. A decade of a failed youth setup and Harris is ths dickhead for discussing his plans to try improve it....

Mate, some fans will have a go at him regardless of what he does or says, they gave him credit (begrudgingly ) for what he had done, getting us to 5th Place, and play off berth, but have been waiting silently in the wings, waiting for the smallest of opportunities, to pounce (2 lge defeats is enough) waiting for failure,to say "I told you so" ? He has changed things in his short time here, but as you can see,it's not good enough! He inherited an academy that has failed for ten yrs, decided it's not fit for purpose, and has had the balls to implement change.I give him kudos for that.
For some posters, the time is nigh for the stone throwing to start,3 games in ffs! People accuse Harris of doing a u-turn need perhaps to look at themselves,as some have most definitely done one already![]()
