Gavin Gordon 750k.

Difference with our current owner is the money he spends is his money not loaned from the bank.

It was not £750,000 for Gavin Gordon.

And Tan gets all his money back via the parachute payments and has had over 70% back and wasted so much money on players and court cases which he has lost everyone of them, another fact.

Plus £millions wasted on the rebrand.

I would expect better knowledge of finances from you being a businessman its in the accounts tan hasnt made a single penny out of club remember hes written off over 100 million of investment you really need to read the accounts again or get someone to explain them to you ,joff is very good at explaining them but doesn't seem to be on here these days

A lot of teams makes bad signings. Sam isn’t to blame for those and Tan isn’t to blame for trusting Malky, Ole and Warnock with money.

Ok he was wrong to trust Ole.

Neil the buck tops with the owner and in these cases its Tan.

I'd be interested to see how Malky got away with it if he did any wrong though.

I’m not insinuating Malky did wrong but there might well be a post that has been edited to say that I did.

I’m on about trusting him with money to buy players.

Businesses on the high street and factories are not closing because they pay their staff £1,000’s per week, they close because people stop buying the product for a manner of reasons. If football got its act together with sensible wages to start with then maybe .... well you know!

Annis, you are one of the nicest most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Your passion for Cardiff City is absolutely unsurpassed. However when it comes to Tan you are blinkered. I think I understand why and please feel free to correct me. The rebrand is massive in that and Tan affected your club and you find that hard to stomach and I can understand that totally. I can’t empathise as I don’t have the passion you do for Cardiff but I understand. I also think that there is a lot of frustration with Tan owing your club. He doesn’t have the passion you do and you hate that. You had an owner who had the same passion as you in Sam and he became a friend of yours too. It still hurts you what happened to him. He was fucked over by the rugby men.

There’s no arguing with you on this for the above reasons and for that I’m gonna dip out of carrying on the debate. I’ll watch with interest though.

Agree annis is passionate and a good guy but I think since covid its fried his brain I told him that on a phone conversation too a while back, too much time on his hands in the sun hes needs a project to focus on

Makes a fair point but also everything hes mentioned except parachute payments are either suspended or reduced because of no fans in stadiums? would you pay advertising with only a very limited audience (city tv) ... tv money has been reduced also... yes got income but bet it is far less than it normally is to keep club running...and we are one of the better placed clubs compared with many in championship?

Absolutely, Dalman is correct all of these funding streams will have either disappeared or been significantly reduced apart from the parachute payments.

I’m not sure of the purpose of the original post (although I have my suspicions) but it’s clearly not researched and doesn’t remotely represent the true problems all clubs currently face.

Wez clubs are in a far worse position than we are and that will be made apparent when season starts and no fans in stadium with very little or no advertising revenue and players declining to take pay cut just deferring untill later which will not help clubs one bit.

Actually, as with pretty much everything he says, it's rational, level-headed, and saying it as it is. I think there's a fair bit of frustration regarding the value the club has been getting from it's transfer 'policy' over the last decade, and we're not alone in that respect. I'm amazed how owners seem to place 100% confidence in - albeit football people - to casually splash £millions of their money time and time again on someone they've watched a couple of videos. Plus ca change..

rumours of bets on being relegated .. shady stock market dealings in Asia .. and a new owner who bought the club along with its £36 million pound debt for 17 mill on June 10th, puts it in admin 3 weeks later and yesterday waives the £36 million owed to him .. ... £53 million to own a football club for 3 weeks
