I think it was very controlled. He slid in single footed and his studs were down. He won the ball clean .

Never a sending off

My initial reaction was "that's a red". They are trying to outlaw that sort of challenge.

Yeah it was wild, strange one. Can see why he gave it but think I’d be feeling it was harsh if it was one of ours.

What didn't help was bench going bananas and 4th official being blind 10ft away! Yes any fan would feel hard done by decision

Wont say lucky swans more like poor referee

Swansea dominating now as would be expected after the red card

They've had excellent and could say perfect opportunities to score 3 goals but lacked composure.. be lucky to get away with it now..

Lol they still can't see through you. What sort of fan spends his most tense moments on a rivals site.? What a fetish

That could have been another penalty for Swansea.

Referee has booked Rhian Brewster for diving but looked like a foul by the goalkeeper.

Just as many as us. Ayew could have had 2, so could Brewster.

Clear penalty denied there too.

Yes, keeper took his legs clearly. That was a clear pen.

Unlucky not to get that.

Sorry he didn't take his legs because
they didnt move he just fell over as players do in pen area..... otherwise ref would seen it (from 2yards away); and Brewster and players would have complained vociferously which they didn't

The ref wasn’t two yards away, he was about 15 yards away. Everyone appealed including Brewster, because it was a clear pen.

Re: " Result: Swansea v Brentford (first leg) "

Pretty even game.

Brentford will feel rightly aggrieved by the referee though.

Swansea must've used all their luck by now?! And what do Brentford need to do to get a win?! This league is ridiculous...

Re: " Result: Swansea v Brentford (first leg) "

Sun Jul 26, 2020 7:31 pm

If VAR was used both teams would have finished with 11 men and no penalties would have been awarded.

The first one Jansen got the ball and the second Brewster dived.

The sending off would have been overturned

The game probably would have been 0-0

The referee was awful

Well the sky camera showed ref looking straight at it unobstructed view looked very close to action think I will take his view as no pen ... as for appealing it was half hearted at best I've just looked at it again... anyway it was not a pen as it wasn't given
