not sure how, legally, you can be charged for an event and not refunded if you are unable to attend.

Hello Annis, hope your well mucker? Many of us Bristol City fans have already paid in full for 2020/21, the club are yet to release a statement of what they propose if we cant get into Ashton Gate. Could be a nightmare if say 10,000 plus want full refunds?????

On the flip side it sounds abit of mick take tbh. To pay for a ST that you may not be able to attend matches for sept and October or even longer as, who knows if we’ll get a 2nd spike. I wouldn’t be bothered about keeping a specific seat as if we have a second spike they’ll be plenty of available seats. There’s a good chance your seat will still be available or close to it even if you don’t renew. Even if we do go we will have ST availability just like last time. It would cost me less to watch city tv at home and not renew. It doesn’t actually effect me as I’m not well so cannot even go to matches but I feel for anyone trying to make the decision. Especially at a time when many people have lost their jobs and/or are skint.
Not sure what I’d do ...personally I’d wait it out and maybe do a half season ticket if that becomes available. Or even a flex 5.

We enjoy going down the city... the only downer is when Sky mess with the matches - his mum won't allow him out late on a school night which is understandable so it really grates when they move fixtures.
There must be some allowance that can be made for folks to watch via CityTV who do not want Sky for whatever reason to be able to catch matches.
Surely its got some kind of backend security to ensure only one logged in device per ID during matches.
I know that the tech is there for dodgy streams but thats already out there and known to be an issue so I can't see why an ST doesn't come with CityTV as part and parcel of the package.
It would mean a lot to some City supporters who have STs but maybe have to miss odd games due to illness, work or family constraints.

I think the club has played this whole situation with a straight bat and offering the pro rata refund for games missed this season whilst providing the code to watch ALL 9 matches live on stream has been a great gesture. Normally those 9 games would have cost £10 per match.
I have been a City fan for well over 50 years and I'm lucky enough to be in a position to buy the ST tomorrow and I will do it gladly because that's what fans do isn't it![]()

Serious question mate, how would you go about it if you were in charge of Ccfc?

Simple. I would offer a refund for any match that was played behind closed doors. They will get a bigger take up if they do that. Ticket sales for a club that has just come down from the Prem represent a small percentage of a clubs income. We will be getting another parachute payment next season which will be about eight times bigger than the season ticket sales last year.

From a business sense - A better way would be 'refund' as credit towards the following season's ticket, e.g. 10 quid per home game missed. That way you get them hooked for another 2!
