Hull need a win plays into our hands cannot see us losing though

It could feasibly happen, if Luton lose by more than one to Blackburn and Hull win v Cardiff by a goal or more

Effectively, Charlton are not in their range. Although they are playing champions Leeds United, so a loss is likely, Hull would need to win by a clear 15 goals

Going to be twitchy bum night for so many (sadly armchair) supporters, as so many teams sweat on this single/final round of games

I love stuff like this; bit I won't deny I'll be as nervous as anyone and pleased once it's all over...so long as it all goes in our favour!

I said squeaky bump time, after the loss to Blackburn ,but my arse will be 50p- 5p for 90 + mins on Wednesday! !! What an amazing season to date, for mainly covid reasons obviously, but in the turn around under Neil Harris  even the most one eyed of fans must admit, the man has done extremely well,to have us in touching distance of a play off place.have to say I am still not sure of how it must look to the mrs,and sound like to my neighbours  I have warned both, that come Wednesday, either go out,or wear ear defenders :laughing5: have to admit Harris was not top of my list when he got the job,but I said I would give him time to shape his own squad, with some players of his choice, with the backbone of what we have, but will freely admit,he has impressed me,with his ideas especially for creating a pathway for the youngsters, and if this new style,is the style he wants to adopt, then I am happy enough, regardless of how much his credit will rise if we achieve the dream (IF sven  ) without taking any credit away from Warnock's tenure here, the football was neck achingly one dimensional, and in all truth,a bore to watch, will be a refreshing change to see our beloved club,at least try to play a bit more football  keep the faith :bluescarf: :old: :bluebird:

Like you, been around far too long to take anything in football (dare we say at Cardiff City FC) for granted :laughing6:

The 'Jacks' were a little lucky today, as they had a penalty miss, but the fact is they held on in there and have created some interesting scenarios for Wednesday night. It's easy to say they simply HAVE to win and the Bluebirds avoid defeat; but we must go out to win the game and take away even the slightest fear that we could toss it away through our own errors rather than relying on others to slip up for us

Chris
Hull needed to beat luton who were below them before game started, hull had precisely no shots on target added to worst defence it will be some what of a surprise if we cannot score more than one goal and keep them out at same time.. they reall dont look as if they have any fight left? Surely with our all round improvement we will be to much for them... :old:

Indeed and I believe there is a 16 goal difference between them (Hull) and Charlton, so they (Hull) are effectively down bar a turnaround of biblical proportions

An early goal (or to go in front at any time) would pretty much seal the deal; not that any of us who have supported the club for many years would take anything for granted quite yet :laughing6:

Am I the only one, who's butterflies have already started their merry dance around my gut? An early goal as you say, could certainly tip the scales for hull, and make things a little less nervy for us eh  :ayatollah: :old: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

I feel different , if we make it I dont think any of the teams will want to play us.

We could possibly end up playing West brom who will be on a downer after dropping from the auto places on the last day whilst we are full of confidence and on form. We can beat them over two legs.

In The final anything can happen

The one team I dont want is fulham as they are flying aswell.

I think I read something the other day which said that in Hull’s last 4 or 5 games they’ve conceded in the opening 5 minutes in all but one. So let’s go all out and start brightly

Chris you are forgetting wigan have 12 points deduction that would take them to 46 points hull are GD 2 behind luton with worse goals scored ... so basically hull need a win and wigan needs to lose or draw and luton lose as well... but still needs a 3 goal swing with Luton to save hull

The battle between Cardiff City and arch-rivals Swansea City for a place in the Championship play-offs will come down to the final game of the season on Wednesday night.

The Bluebirds, who currently occupy the last play-off spot, will be at home to bottom side Hull City as they protect a three-point lead over seventh-placed Swansea.

If Cardiff avoid defeat or Swansea fail to win, Neil Harris' men will prevail.

But if the Bluebirds are beaten and the Swans win at Reading, it will be Steve Cooper's side who progress.

At the same time, fifth-placed Nottingham Forest - who could be overtaken by both Welsh clubs - are at home against Stoke, with all matches kicking off at 19:30 BST.

Dynamics may well have changed in our game as if reports are true and Wigan wont face points deduction this season hull are relegated unless they have 16 goal swing! :D
So they have nothing to lose so will that change mindset for game?

GOAL: Cardiff 1-0 Hull

Junior Hoilett (20 mins)

Big goal for the home side.

Junior Hoilett has put Cardiff in front with a nice finish across the keeper into the far corner, it has been coming to be honest.

It's an uphill task for bottom side Hull now.
