Don't get me wrong they deserve to go up but they don't stand out to me like a great team, I can see them coming straight back down like Villa look like doing to be honest.

It's just a personal feeling, I might be well wide of the mark and it wouldn't be the first time but my gut feeling tells me they will struggle next season badly.

I'm fact I think whoever goes up this season will come straight back down, might put a bet on it, think the promoted teams will struggle to recruit in the times we are living in to make their squads that extra bit competitive they need to stay up.

I know it might sound daft to say but of all the seasons to finally go up this is probably the worst isn't it?

100% agree.

For all teams this is the worst time to go up, due to the current pandemic.

The difference with Leeds is they have a X factor in Bielsa.
He will be able to attract a lot of high quality players from across South America and Europe . It's very likely he will be the difference in whether they stay up or go back down.

I don't know why as before becoming promoted with Leeds he has been an utter failure at every managers job he has had in Europe along with being a failure when in charge of Argentina. Lets take at look as his managerial record in Europe prior to Leeds.

Espanyol- Only in charge for 9 games and only won 2 of them

Bilbao- Took a team that finshed 6th the season before he arrived and finished 10th and then 12th with them

Marseille-Failed to finish high enough to qualify for the champions league

Lazio- Resigned without playing a game

Lille- Won just 5 of his 19 games in charge before being sacked.

Plus add in failing to get out of his group with Argentina at the 2002 world cup.

The most overrated manager of all time.

Add to that they have probably less than a month before the new season begins.

Normally you would have, June, July and August before the window closes before you know what division your going to be in and what you need to strengthen.

The transfer window might stay open but the new season is likely to start within a month which gives the promoted sides very little time to strengthen their squads let alone bed them in and it is for that reason alone I see the promoted championship clubs all coming straight back down.

They dont have the luxury of being promoted in May and having June, July and August to see where they need to strengthen before the start of the new season though do they. Assuming the season is going start within 4 weeks of this one finishing their squad is likely to be the same as it is now, ie not good enough for the Premier Laeague. It is going to be an absolute nightmare to recruit players in the middle of a pandemic, going into a British winter when the future is unclear. That is why I think all 3 Clubs that go up will come straight back down. We will see though.

Have you noticed the amount of foreign players in brentford team/squad?

I think it's because they got rid of their academy a few years ago and instead bring in young foreign players who have been released by their clubs, and bring them through that way.

Half time in the two early games.

Charlton Athletic 1-2 Wigan Athletic

Stoke City 1-0 Brentford

Did mention awhile ago that they got a particular system for recruiting abroad rather than this country fair play it's worked

They use a stat based system in recruiting which seems to be working for them. Anyway hopefully they can turn it around v Stoke.

Fulham use same system..... as for brentford today they are exactly like WBA yesterday play a certain way but cannot change it even though its not working .. they desperately need a draw but ball isn't going in box to create chances dont really look like scoring ..... only 5 shots in 2and half none on target and only one on target whole game

Nervy last day for them and WBA coming up. Hopefully QPR can do us a double favour by beating both Millwall and WBA :ayatollah:

Yes but cannot see it ..... for all brentford 8 game winning streak when they came up against a well organised team they did not know how to change things to get a goal think 2 shots on target shows possession football doesn't work in such games WBA did same yesterday to much possession in wrong half of pitch

LEEDS UNITED CHAMPIONS

Boro are safe

It’s full-time in the early game and it’s finished Charlton 2-2 Wigan.

Boro are safe.

That leaves Wigan on 46 points - taking into account their 12 point deduction - with one game to play and unable to catch Boro.

And with Hull and Luton playing each other today, only one can catch Boro in the remaining games

Don’t worry it’s just giving them false hope when’s the truth is they have no chance of catching us as we are playing the best football we have played in years in the last 2 games. I reckon that will end up 1-1 anyway and we will be guaranteed playoffs today :ayatollah:

As it stands we would stay top 6 as we have scored more goals than Swansea

But they would steal the place unless we score a few more today
