Dangerous there from the hosts. Barkhuizen cuts inside Bennett and fizzes a cross in, but Morrison gets an outstretched leg to it to clear.

A free-kick is lumped into the box and Paterson leaps to meet it, but his header dribbles comfortably to Rudd.

Sean Morrison with a tremendous, lunging tackle to stymie Tom Barkhuizen, who was bursting down the right-hand side.

Paterson and Hoilett do well down the left to earn Cardiff a throw-in in Will Vaulks range....

But Preston once again clear their lines.

Vaulks finds Adomah, who enjoys a lovely one-two with Joe Ralls on the corner of the Preston box before laying off Junior Hoilett.

The Canadian has his first effort blocked before lashing a left-footed strike wide from 15 yards! Big opportunity there!

Adomah has been the pick of the players so far and he has just earned another corner for the Bluebirds.

A terrible pass by Bennett gifts Preston possession deep in Cardiff's half and Sinclair is found just outside the box.

The forward hits a shot from the edge of the area but Morrison makes himself big to block the shot.

Andrew Hughes is found on the overlap for Preston and tries to drive a low cross in, but Sanderson does well to throw his body in the way and block it.

Barkhuizen once again gets the better of Bennett and lofts a ball into the box, but Morrison heads it away from the waiting Stockley in the middle of the box.

Cardiff now non stop defending

Adomah chases down Rudd and the Preston goalkeeper can only poke it out for a throw-in in a dangerous area for Cardiff.

Joe Ralls does well to wrestle past Pearson and Fisher and into the Preston box, but his hammered cross is blocked and cleared.

Vaulks clips it in and Morrison rises above Stockley and headers towards goal, but it's just over the bar.

Not a game worth getting up at 4 am for that's for sure. Almost put me back to sleep, 0 shots on target for Cardiff.

Rolls had one think that made it 2 on target... should have stayed asleep until 2nd half as that's when we come alive.

Sorry guys you're correct & I was looking at it as we were the home team, obviously not fully awake yet. I'm gonna blame the game for not being very exciting

Vaulks pings a tremendous ball into Adomah, who ships it out to the wing. But Joe Bennett's cross is poor and Rudd collects.

Junior Hoilett does well to fashion himself some space on the City right-hand side. He bursts into the box but his cross is cleared.
