I doubt very much though how much truth there is in what MM says.

His style has a short shelf life. He is not about forensic questioning, research or intellect, its about loud, brash hierarchical bullying. It's my show, I have the microphone, script, and the off button. I select the guests, i select the line of questions, i then butt in when your answers may be becoming too sensible.

Soundbite TV has produced soundbite politicians and thus soundbite presenters.

When I go to the states I watch MSCNBC and Fox news with amazement. It stopped being news decades ago, they report opinions as facts, its frightening. Any attempt at counterbalance is so weak it's pathetic.

The first amendment would have protected Morgan in the states and they wouldn't have given a fcuk about ofcom. I am sure Morgan will monetize this "martyrdom" for his own benefit. Because at the end of the day, its always been about him with Piers, the spoilt little middle-class champagne socialist

Piers Morgan has left ITV's Good Morning Britain following a row over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex.

It brings the controversial host's time on the show to an end after six years.

ITV announced the decision after Ofcom said it was investigating his comments after receiving 41,000 complaints.

On Monday's show, Morgan said he "didn't believe a word" the duchess had told Oprah Winfrey about her mental health in an interview.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."

The channel confirmed to the BBC that his departure from the breakfast news show will take effect immediately but declined to say who would be replacing him on Wednesday.

Morgan's departure followed an on-air clash with weather presenter Alex Beresford, who criticised his colleague on Tuesday for "continuing to trash" the duchess, prompting Morgan to walk off set. He returned within 10 minutes.

Also on Tuesday, ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said she "completely believed what [the duchess] says", adding that ITV is "totally committed to" mental health.

Mental health charity Mind, which is a partner with ITV on its Britain Get Talking campaign, also criticised Morgan, saying it was "disappointed" by the presenter's comments.

Morgan has not commented on his departure beyond posting a gif on Twitter of a ticking clock.

Morgan is a egotistical clown but why the rush to believe everything Markle says?

For me it’s a shame that there’s not more like morgan on the tv. It’s refreshing a person is will to speak his mind. But for the snowflake generation (and there’s a lot on here) he doesn’t get the credit he deserves. 30 years plus ago he just a standard presenter alongside all the other S who also expressed their personal views, it’s what makes them characters. For me sadly missed in an already bland world of celebrity.

On a side note I totally agree with him on markle. It was a ridiculously cheap scripted interview with poor actors, there’s very little truth there and they contradicted themselves many times. When pressed for details there were no forthcoming. But a lot of people will lap it up as gospel because a media giant said it was.

Undoubtedly Piers Morgan can go over the top with his style BUT he does ask the awkward questions and for me is quite refreshing to watch over all the politically correct victim cultural snowflakes.

For me, having watched the whole Megan/Harry/Oprah broadcast interview I found it very strange that an independent interviewer like Oprah did not press Harry and Megan with more searching questions.

For me the most reveling part of the Harry/Megan /Oprah interview was when Oprah did ask the only awkward question to Megan " a lot of people are saying that you, Megan, Have instigated this yourself".

If you look closely as the camera cuts to Megan and Harry as soon as that question was asked just for a split second, BOTH look at Oprah with a look of shock and daggers until Megan's actress skills Kick in.

I feel sorry for our Queen who has enough on her plate with Philip in Hospital.

I find it quite revealing how Harry has changed so much since Marriage to Megan. He was always an outgoing Bubbly forthright individual who was loved by most who met him. Harry did so much for awareness of service personel and was insiring to many. Contrast that with how he moans and winges these days and How Bad his and Megan's life is ???

What His Former Army Regiment Must Think of him now that he has been stripped of his official status, I dread to think

There’s constant threads on here about all sorts of shite that has nothing to do with football.

Most of what has been said about Piers Morgan on here I agree with but I do like the fact he says what he thinks and isn’t afraid to say it unlike the usual namby pamby TV presenters.
