We are now - belatedly - counting all deaths which is not the case in all European countries. Belgium and Spain which have had far stricter lockdowns than us have a much higher per capita death rate than us.

And as for the numbers in places such as China and Iran which were initially the worst effected. Well anyone who believes them must also believe in Father Christmas.

Every day people keep saying the Uk is worse because of its population.

As to populations:

Wales 3.4mill nearly 1,000 deaths  (2 weeks behind)

Balearic Islands 1.5mill - 189 deaths (2nd consecutive day of NO registered deaths )

The calculation is No. of deaths/ population x 100,000(or 1,000,000).

Each country’s death rates are freely available online.

Government's draft plans for getting back to work

Boris Johnson will set out the Government's "roadmap" to exiting lockdown in an address on Sunday.

Under the draft plan, seen by The Telegraph's Economics reporter Lizzie Burden, firms will be encouraged to stop colleagues from hot desking and sharing equipment, stagger shift times and maximise home-working.

The Department for Business docs also highlights additional hygiene procedures, physical screens and the use of protective equipment should be considered where maintaining distancing of two metres between workers is impossible.

They also suggest shifts be staggered, staff canteens will stay closed and lifts kept half-empty. Regular face-to-face meetings will likely become a thing of the past - people will be urged to do virtual meetings where possible, and if not there should be markings to set out where someone can sit.
