Anyone want to take that gamble\?

That could happen to me when I go to work though mate.

yep.....you and TEN MILLION other key workers... almost 1 in 6 of our population..

But footballers are NOT key workers

the conversation was about dangers and the point was not made by me ....but no I don't think footballers are more at risk than key workers.

What are you talking about Lawsuits?? Does a nurse sue the nhs is she catches it?? Does a delivery driver sue Tesco’s? does a teacher sue the local authority??

If this was the case nobody would ever go back to work!!

The difference is nobody said they safe environment. To play football they would have to guarantee safety. Hence team a infect team b star player. Then all hell breaks lose.

How can anyone guarantee an individual players safety getting paid to play a contact sport??

Broken bones, head injuries, on field heart attacks??

If every workplace had to guarantee their employees safety nobody would ever be allowed to go to work

They not contagious diseases though.
The problem would come when infected players are covered up.
It’s a nightmare situation I’m afraid. I have no clue what to do other than cancel football till vaccine is found. Or some extremely stringent rules in place.

What if the vaccine takes 18 months?? 90% of U.K. clubs would not survive and would go bankrupt

The whole Country will be back in work within 3 months vaccine or no vaccine

I’m just saying mate that’s the society we live in now. And people do sue they employers for personal injuries all the time.

Burying your head in the sand thinking that football can be immune from it is just not realistic. Let’s get a grip on things first focus on the vulnerable and needy then worry about the privileged getting they fix of entertainment shall we?

If it takes 18 months then it takes 18 months and we have to suffer the loses like we suffer other loses of jobs etc. Be patient stay safe remain calm.

I am certainly not burying my head in the sand but just pointing out that do you really think the economy can stand an 18 month Sabbatical while we wait for a vaccine in case employees sue their employers which is what I think your saying (I apologise if I’m misunderstanding you) if this is the case then we are all in big trouble

In order for the whole country not to go bankrupt and not go into a depression the bulk of the workforce has to be back in work in the next 3 months maximum and ideally that would include footballers

I agree with most of what you say. But entertainiers shouldn’t be first. Let’s look after our bread and better and the blood that makes this country what it is. There’s bigger priorities than football that’s what I’m saying. In an ideal world we can go back to normal tomorrow but that’s not gonna happen. Let’s sort out the basic necessities first, then worry about enjoying privileges that are only available to some.
