The Heath pub and watching live football is going to be a sad place going forward without Brian, and will always miss the chats as he trundled (sterling moss style ) down our road past my house, about the 80's and the over paid buggars now.

I know he's had his struggles over the years but was always a pleasure to speak to him and see your mum keep him in check, sincere condolences to all your family.

Rest in Peace my friend, your joining a great bluebird club up there now.

Thanks Arri. Yeah, it got hard work for mum towards the end as he kept escaping the house in the middle of the night and falling over etc. But, he loved his visit to the pub and was a regular for many years in the Heath and the Crwys

I lost my mum a couple of weeks ago.She suffered from dementia and needed around the clock care for many years.Sad to hear about your dad,keep the treasured memories at the front of your mind.

Dementia is feckin aweful mate, you effectively lose them twice Condolences on the loss of you Mum. I'm strangely kinda glad that Covid took my Dad so quickly and spared him a few more years in a care home slowly fading away.

Mate I know the full weight dementia puts on families,my dad passed 2 1/2 years ago,and you are spot on,it is the worst thing in the world,as a family we managed to keep dad at home,until his passing,I have empathy with all those families who have a sufferer among them football seems so fickle in the grand scheme of things.
