Not to do with this but i also see pictures being shared saying do you know this person, they did this and that etc he's a pedo, he's a racist,

It can be achieved with a tougher lockdown :thumbright:

THE Government of the Balearic Islands has asked that the lockdown restrictions are relaxed in the region due to a steady decrease in coronavirus cases.

Dr Javier Arranz, who leads the Government’s advisory committee on COVID-19, has proposed that the Balearic Islands acts as a ‘test laboratory’ for lifting the confinement constraints.

In this way, he believes the rest of Spain would be able to observe how the virus evolves when measures laid down in the state of alarm decree are reversed.

People have to get it for us to go back to normality when the Balearics reduce the restrictions the cases will go back up, it's a case of keeping enough ventilators available to cover the people that need them.

This is going to go on in waves moving forward, restrictions reductions in cases, reduce the restrictions increase in cases.

Countries are trying to protect the most vulnerable until there is a vaccine while allowing the general population to get the antibodies at a steady pace so as not to overstretch the Health Service.

The government are allowing British morons to go out and get it, in effect using them for guinea pigs, but will soon put a stop to it if the NHS gets to stretched.

No I'm saying every government is trying to do the same thing but with slightly different methods, the UK government appear to be making a calculated risk, only time will tell which government made the correct decisions?

I also said the UK can tighten things up, I don't know much about Spain but would guess that the hospitals would struggle with a lot of cases and maybe had to make more draconian actions as they may not have been able to cope?

If you can keep the brits and the rest of Spain and the World out, you may stop it increasing, but as a holiday tourist location reliant on tourism how would you pay for it?

Fair enough

No we can’t keep the rest of the world out forever as we would die without the trade.

We will have to open later in the year to counties that have it under control.

So honestly I don’t know what the future holds until we find a vaccine .

We have managed for 22 days Tony, and have about 30 days to go. I will gladly do this if it means saving my family and other other peoples lives.

We are allowed to do somethings as I have repeatedly said on here under very strict guidelines, but not allowed to go for walks just for exercise, or meet in a park, or ride a bike.

Some of the idiots in Uk are then using that for a day out.

Fines/prison are massive over here and its working.

Sunbathing in parks pathetic.

I'm glad your coping Annis and all the best to you and your family. Trouble is not everyone has a support network or they may live in a flat with no garden facilities. Those without a support network have to fend for themselves which means they have to venture out to buy food, collect medicines and those without a garden need exercise with fresh air.

The guidelines do-not allow for meetings with others in public or private places and fines can already be imposed if the reason for venturing out is not necessary or there is a gathering of people who don't live in the same household.

We need to all follow the guidelines and use common sense.

Thank you Tony.

Many many Spanish are poor and they live in bedsits/ small flats here and they have totally abided by the rules .

Common sense needs to be used in UK.

I see strict measures being finally put in place.

Stay strong Tony and healthy :thumbright: :thumbright:

Annis,

This issue of people ignoring government advice is REAL and in my opinion a massive problem which will prevent the government achieving that they hope to achieve. But please read my original reply because I acknowledge the problem and suggest that the government should introduce meaningful fines, on the spot if needed, for people who are refusing to comply. Like the hundreds shown sunbathing in a London park at the weekend on the ITV news this lunchtime.

It is important that these people are shown for the irresponsible selfish idiots they are and I would NEVER say anything to support them. Having said that I'm frustrated by receiving constant images on facebook which are questionable when we are dealing with an issue which WILL result in people dying.

I have not said this is a FAKE NEWS story, that would be stupid, as unfortunately you see the images of people flouting the lockdown everyday on TV and in the press but having said that I only suggest that one of the original images may not be 100% kosher.

I would NEVER suggest you would wilfully post anything you didn't believe to be 100% accurate but please accept my opinion that the one showing the ITV News banner is nothing like the graphics currently used on their news bulletins.

I hope we don't fallout over this but you have know me for many years now do you really believe I have any sympathy with the mindless, selfish idiots who continue to flout the governments instructions on the lockdown.
