Hard as he's signed for Forest
Guess we will stick with Jazz Richards with young Coxe as backup. This would help out in getting in both the Forest player and Rhodes.

Apparently he wanted the same money as tomlin on his new contract
Fri Jan 31, 2020 5:49 pm
Proper defender, shame if he goes, but it will be a decent last pay day for him.
I doubt he was getting an extension as we have to rebuild. We need to see if coxe is up to it and things like this need to happen

Which seriously calls Harris's judgment into question.
Richards is average at best.
Don't understand all this stuff about Peltier being useless going forward - that's true but I want my defenders to be able to defend and Peltier is a far better defender than Jazz Richards.
Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:17 pm
Jazz got seriously caught out twice against West brom one time giving a penalty away and second time needing a good save from smithies to bail him out. Thinking he's a better option than peltier is baffling
Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:33 pm
If peltier plays Richards doesn't play in is normal position does he? Richard's was better player as a full back earlier in season than centre back lately...
Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:37 pm
Bet he'll put patterson there
Fri Jan 31, 2020 6:39 pm
Its a sure sign of a change in style. Pelts is a great defender in a back 4 that doesn't go forward. Harris is probably trying to introduce playing with wingbacks.
Pelts is 34. Great last contract for him. Rumour has it that its £500000 rising to £1M if west brom get promoted.
Rightback we have Jazz, Bacuna and Coxe.
Leftback we have Bennett, Smith and Cunningham.
I do prefer Jazz at rightback as on his day, he is a very clever and tricky player. Yes he got caught out for the pen on tuesday, but how many penalties had Bamba and Manga caused? And they were loved!

I would be gutted if true, he’s our best right back by a long way and guaranteed starter, Jazz is dodgy and always injured

No thanks at 33 I'd still have pelts over jazz all day

I wouldnt go that far. Bacuna is no right back , hes barely a player at all.
Bacuna at right back not at all played there last sat he was awful bacuna should be ahead of pack at cm pack is far far to slow

Not in the squad for tonight ..

West Brom are indeed looking at bringing in experienced defender Lee Peltier to The Hawthorns before the night is out - and the business mightn’t be done there.
Peltier, 33, is a battled hardened and experienced Championship player, who would provide cover and competition across Albion’s back four, especially with the impending exit of Nathan Ferguson.
He’s been a regular for Cardiff City this term, and played plenty of top flight football under Neil Warnock last season, and Albion are looking into a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Madness....what’s going on????
It’s like we just want players out the door ....
Best RB we’ve got and very little cover in place.
According to radio he’s signed fir the Baggies

Annis, bit strange if he goes just for a short term end of season deal

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that Lee Peltier has left the Bluebirds by mutual agreement.
Lee joined Cardiff City in January 2015 from Huddersfield Town. The tough tackling defender went on to make 159 league appearances across five seasons at the Club.
We’d like to thank Lee for his efforts during the last five years and wish him the very best for the future.

Sky sports news are reporting it was a free transfer for pelts. Am I missing something or does this make very little sense?

I always liked him as well. One of the unsung heroes in the team. Solid and reliable with a minimum amount of fuss. Not afraid to put in a strong challenge when needed.
Wish him well with his new club.

Was confirmed in the ground to a few of us by a club member, also 2 incoming, 1 was at the vale having a medical during the match and one was due to arrive at 10pm wouldn’t elaborate on names but went sheepish when the names Adomah and Rhodes were mentioned

I understand the point you’re making and I don’t agree with the deal either. Also seems like we are replacing him with a young wolves defender who has maybe played 1 competitive professional game ever when Coxe is supposed to be highly rated at the club. To be fair the wolves guy could be the new messi for all I know

What a disaster, what other football club allows their best defender to leave for nothing! I know his contract is up at the end of the season, but surely it would have made more sense to reject West Brom's approach and keep him until the end of the season? I'm completely baffled, what the hell is going on?
