The blokes a negative idiot. We needed a left back much more than we need a striker that we keep being linked too. More than anything though we need another CM to come in this window.

Bennett is a poor defender and can’t pass a ball.

Don't agree Bennet has been one our best players this season and is more than worth his place in the team. We do need cover for him even if he doesn't get injured he could probably do with a break. I think the reservations about this guy is he is a Bournrmouth reserve rather than a first team player and it's not clear how good he is. Good enough for Seattle but not good enough for Bournemouth who will almost certainly be back in the championship next season. Maybe a sensible signing but nothing to get excited about and will probably make no difference to our season.

He started off the season terrible and he’s missed a few games. He’s only just started playing decent.

Think I would wait until he has a few games under his belt with us before making a judgement. I still remember fans on this forum getting excited about Eoin Doyle based on what he had done at his previous club, and many thought he was a brilliant signing.

Bennet hasn't reached the standards this season that we've seen from him in the past. Hopefully this gives him a kick up the arse.

Good to get some cover at left back but we could also do with a new right back.

Richards played quite well when he first came back especially against Sheffield Wednesday when injury forced us to play two wing backs but since he was torn apart at QPR he's been absolutely shocking.

Peltier has been a great servant during his time here but I'd like to see two new right backs coming in at the end of the season with Peltier and Richards moving on.

We've been crying out for a right back for years. I agree move pelts and the jack on and bring in new.

We have signed a left back as cover for Bennett, sorted. Why can't everyone just be happy?

if hes gonna play on the wing fair enough. i'd normally agree we need a LB but we are likely to only sign a couple this widow at the most, and need players in other areas much more importantly. We have plenty who can cover and Bennett is back in some decent form after a slow start.

yes. signing back up or cover in January, when we should be improving the weaker points in the side, while we also have plenty of cover for an inform player who never gets injured is weird. We need a striker, we need a winger. wouldnt mind another in the middle though he wont drop pack so thats unlikely. left back would be just above goalkeeper at the bottom of my list.

How do you know we aren’t trying to sign players in the other positions?

This one might have just been easier and quicker to complete.

i dont, and if so fair enough, but i dont want to hear the excuse of only being able to bring one or two in, and being left short in areas when we sign someone who isnt a priority.

And im not saying we dont need a LB by the way, just that with no money being spent and the potential to only bring in a couple. this doesnt improve us like a good signing up top would do.

you honestly cant say anything with your skewed views on our goalkeepers.

we dont have a striker with any presence at the club - meanwhile we have a LB that is back to decent form. if we could only sign one, it would be a striker that would be our greatest need.

I can't believe some people! We have 2 right backs, with Peltier and Richards, also cover from Bacuna or Nelson. We only have one fit left back, with Richards as makeshift cover. This isn't a permanent signing, but cover for Bennett and a replacement should Bennet get injured.

We need another left back until the end of the season and this guy looks ideal for now.

Hes decent but I cant see him playing more than a few games. Bennett will stay as number 1
