Worst ever signing?

Madine spent most of his career in league 1&2, bar his spell with Bolton before joining us where he got something like 9 in 25 games has never really cut it at this level.
Acon looked pretty poor in the small amount of game time he had with us has gone on to have a carrier in Serie A and a regular member of the Danish squad. Suggest he has some sort of quality about him, maybe the wrong player for us but has made a living at the top level

According to one national newspaper today we have had a bid of £2.3million rejected for Kieffer Moore form Wigan. I will take that with a massive pinch of salt as I don't believe we would spend £2.3 million on anybody and if we did would would spend it on a forward who can barely score a goal for Wigan. If by some miracle it does go through can I nominate him as our worst signing of the 20s.

His body language when he played although was better recently. The stories from training, of course may not be true, and when he went on loan last season he said he wanted to stay and he was a northern lad, again he would say it when at Sheffield United.

He is for myself the worst signing of recent times as nothing back from him on the pitch

What about Murphy?? Ok he could be a good player, but £11m + and he can’t beat a player at the moment? Needs a massive kick from behind to get to anywhere near £11m value.

Cornelius was young and inexperienced and worth a punt. The strange thing was paying the fee we did and increasing his wages significantly. You'd have to ask Mackay why that was. And when I first saw him I thought, that's no footballer, he was awful and looked totally out of his depth. But we did get something back for him to offset the initial fee, and probably had to pay a lot of money to get him out of the club. He has done OK since.

Madine was a stupid, last day of the January window signing by Warnock. £2m rising to £6m reportedly, I presume that was if we went up and stayed up, so I reckon it was somewhere between the two figures. I have no idea why he was signed, you'd have to ask Warnock. And we signed NIasse on loan at the same time too. I also do not understand why he never LAlyed either, being Warnock's signing. He seemed to sign players and then go off them and leave them out of the team, after all it wasn't his money! When he played I was always waiting for him to do something, but he never did. I think he has left, more because of off the field issues combined with his lack of goals.

So I think it's a draw between the two of them.

But cost a lot more. I agree he’s contributed more than the other 2 but he cost a lot more as well. And, there’s a good chance he’s currently the highest paid player.

Even if you took price into account, Madine/Acorn would be worse. Murphy has done more in 2 mins this season than any of those two have done in their time here
