Agreed you have been consistent as I was with getting rid of Warnock the season we got promoted.

Which manager would you have liked to have seen come in or would you have stuck with Warnock ?

IMO we need to give Harris time things don’t change overnight.

Everyone talks about the youth but if there were good enough they would be playing or in the squad at least irrespective of manager. Maybe they are not as good as everyone thinks,

For me Harris needs to build a squad of young hungry players with a few old heads for experience paying low wages but incentivised by big bonuses for promotion and maybe win bonuses also.

We seem to be the club that pays big contracts to established players some coming to end of there careers with no re sale value.

Time for change and it starts January - if the club does adopt this plan then even if NH does not work out the club has an identity and can find a new manager based on that.

The time to clear out and replace with quality is in the Summer, you can’t get decent players for a fair price in January!!!

Sadly, a sign of the times where many players are 'happy' to sit on their contracts rather than put a shift in and play football

Yeah, it's just a worry that we keep allowing ourselves to be in this position time after time. A number of managers have been blamed for this over the years - for me it lies higher up as we never learn the lessons. If we have to pay some to go, do it and get rid but don't then make the same expensive mistakes with the next batch of incomers.

SVEN
A bit of tongue in cheek just be careful what you wish for harris on about trimming the sqaud but with players dropping like flies we are 4 players down and we don' t know how long they will be out.

No offence but it just didn't make any grammatical sense as a sentence

Thanks for explaining

Still can't understand some of the criticism aimed at Harris. His record here so far is reasonable enough, and he has to work with the squad he inherited. Why not give him a fair crack and see how he goes?

I think it will be another waste of time and money, now was the time to get a progressive manager in to try and push to go back up.

Didn't you predict 3-0 to Wednesday ?
Fans need to believe a little more and support the team and manager :bluebird:

I did, as did the bookies. Never saw that one coming, but in my defence, I have never criticised our manager, or any individual players with the exception of Zohore. I have no problems with us not being good enough providing people are making an effort. My gripe is with people who have a bit of ability, but do not appear to take pride in wearing the shirt. Whatever I feel about the appointment of Harris, he will have my backing unless it becomes blatantly obvious he is not able to hack it here. Performances may have been below par, but it is a results business, and so far he is doing ok as far as I am concerned.

I will. Just wish Bristol had lost. Be nice to see us higher up the table than them. Maybe next time.

Good News - Time for change and allow NH - His players to add to what he wants to keep .

Most successful teams regenerate every couple of years and there is a turnover of players. that hasn't happened with us. Etheridge and NML are in their 3rd season with us while Hoilett, Richards, Bamba and Bennet have been here over 3 years. Morrison for 6 years and Connolly for 7 years and Ralls for about the same period. Not a problem with that but when we factor in the money Warnock wasted on players who have failed to perform, like Murphy, Reid, Glatzel, Bogle, Madine, Ward, Vassell, Whyte, Vaulks, Bacuna at the same time some of the others like Ralls, Morrison and NML had a drop in form it's no wonder we are having a difficult time. But after today's result we are 10th and 2 points off the Play Offs so it does show we do have talent, even in this year's poor Championship.

But as stated above it is difficult to unload players who are under contract, if they decide to stay and pick up their money. But the squad does need to turnover. Somebody at the club, Warnock?, was instrumental in giving Connolly, Richards and Bamba longer contracts. And still we see no youngsters coming through, except a few who played in he League Cup game.

Again, we don't know what goes on behind the scenes and how many deals have ben arranged prior to the window opening.

We can but hope that Harris' recruitment policy is better than Warnock's.
