Silly goal to give away Nelson done at far post
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:20 pm
Meanwhile, the game has started quite openly and City have made the mot of their Tomlin-created chances up until now to be 2 - 0 up through goals from the (useless to some) Glatzel and Junior Hoillet
I think I'll take that for a start...

Jesus H christ, 2 nil up and you’re still the most negative person alive.

Bit behind chris 1-2 Nelson out jumped at far post sloppy goal
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:24 pm
Did Nelson even jump? Lees gets well above Nelson and it goes in the bottom corner
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:24 pm
Why is our best headerer so far away from the 6 yard box ?
This season we have had some strange defending set ups

Not now, Allan; must be a delay on the stream I'm watching!
A training ground goal from Lees but I'll still take the current score over what some predicted would be a pointless exercise for City even travelling

Bit early to be leading by 2 goals but cannot complain yet!! Stay 1-2 halftime will be good
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:40 pm
Has bacuna gone right back now Bennett has gone off?
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:41 pm
A nasty clash of heads sees Bennett replaced and City have to adjust
A decent move from Wednesday sees Lees come close again

Even though I voted for a loss for us (1st ever!) I said I would snatch at a draw, and be more than happy to have egg on my face, still will.great start, sloppy goal.

very pleased for Glatzel, isn't that 4 goals now? Same as a certain Mr zohore in his last 2 seasons with us

I said I was looking forward to see how Glatzel would gel with Tomlin, fingers crossed it looks as if they could be a good partnership.
Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:44 pm
Very surprised if we don't let more goals in. Since we scored 2 we have gone backwards, wave after wave of attacks by Wednesday.

Sun Dec 29, 2019 3:55 pm

Hoilett yellow. Lucky it wasn't a red apparently...

The bias Sheff Weds commentator on the iFollow Stream I'm watching has said the referee 'bottled' it and he's 'stunned'
Having watched it again, I'm not sure he (Hoillet) did it with intent but he certainly went through the Wednesday player and I've seen red cards given for less
Sun Dec 29, 2019 4:34 pm
BBC said it was consistent with the yellow for the Wednesday player before?
Sun Dec 29, 2019 4:35 pm
I didn't see the tackle, so I can't really comment on it. Just reporting what I've heard on the radio and SSN
Glad he's still on though

It could have gone either way but the comment from 'welshrarebit' above makes sense
City now doing their usual stuff and allowing Wednesday a lot of the game and City's defence earning their money now; but we're still posing a threat with the ball on the counter...

No it was a yellow he stretched in with one leg on the ground he just happened to catch his ankle ... unfortunately happened outside dugout so they got a bit animated
