And other reports say he does speak Spanish; even if it's not fluid...

Alvaro Arbeloa says that Gareth Bale (an introverted man) can speak and does speak Spanish, but he prefers not to do it in public as he feels his every word will be dissected and twisted

I guess that's a bit like my fear of speaking my own apparent native language of Welsh! ;)

To some, it doesn't come easy; but don't be surprised when his last press conference at Madrid will be done totally in Spanish and he will tell the Madridistas, “Adios muchachos, hasta la vista.” ;) :laughing6:

Ffs listen to foreign players in the prem, with their at best pigeon English, aguerro being a prime example  why people insist on him becoming fluent Spanish I don't know  look at some of the managers als,not able to converse in english!! I don't believe it is in his contract :? Why is bale being singled out, when there are videos of interviews with him conversing in spanish :?: :?: all this b@locks about him holding the said flag/banner,is exactly that, b@locks, he stood BEHIND it ,the wording was facing away from the players, and could have said anything as far as he was aware, anyway, zidane isn't interested in the whole saga, says he's back in training with the team, not really surprised by his take on things, considering he brought shame on his nation, with his chest butt  come back to cardiff gareth, you don't need or deserve the hassle the Spaniards give you, you've won twice as much there,as the current manager achieved as a player, won the champions league with a special goal for them,a goal every other game on average, come see out you're career at cardiff ;) IMAGINE :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :old: :bluebird:
