Let's not kid ourselves and say we played well today because imo we played poorly and have done all season.
it was hardly champagne football but we were the better team today... papering over the cracks ?, don't know what to say about that, our home record is good .

We played an established, growing Championship side today who have been slowly growing year on year and lost to a sucker punch.
In my opinion we were the better team and the stats back that up, however that counts for nothing and the record books will show we lost 1-0.
That said and has been said MANY times before by myself amongst others, VERY FEW teams go straight back up at the first time of asking, the % is staggeringly low and most level headed fans would have gone with us being a top 10 team this year, play offs at a push, that is still an achievable target by the way. Just remember it could go even worse, the likes of Wolves, Sunderland, Norwich, Southampton, Blackburn have dropped down to League 1 before coming back previously so things could be a lot worse.
We need to stop going from 0 to 100mph as fans, from a 4-2 win and everything's good and only 7 points off top to a 1-0 loss and the world has caved in. That's not the case.
Mistakes have been made, I'd like to think Warnock would be the first to admit that, in hindsight letting Zohore go is looking like a mistake and I was one of his biggest critics but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I'm not adverse to a change at the top but it needs to be phased IMO, knee jerk reaction I don't think we need. I fully expect us to pick up between 8-9 points from the next 4 games after the international break and we will be right back on the coat tails of the play offs again.

If thats was the case, once again, like quite a few games this season we fail to score, let alone win. If we can't win when we are the better side, we sure aint gonna win when we are not, there have been some good moments this season, but they have been against sides in a similar situation to us. It all started the moment we got promoted, and its rotted away to where we are right now, I agree the hellish tragedy of Sala, added to our despair and I believe its impact was more shocking than we realise.
This is the worst squad since before Dave Jones took over. Its Warnock squad. And thats why the atmosphere has gone, why wait until the summer, when a new man with new ideas arrives anyway, he aint gonna want the majority of these players long term. Why slow the reboot, by letting Neil stay? Lets grow a pair and start making changes now. Unless the atmosphere on the terraces will be even worse post Christmas, and mid table mediocrity playing this predictable, frustrating, football with a lack of urgency and clinical passing and shooting. Teams have us all worked out. I hate it. Poor signings, poor tactics, poor substitutions, poor team selection and this seeps onto the terraces, who then undeservedly get labelled as equally poor.
Couldn't have put it better myself. We're not expecting to win every week, but this side doesn't even give their all. It's time for a change, and that time is NOW.

This.... “we were the better team today and should have won “ quote is wearing thin. How many games this season have ended with that quote, not just today that’s for sure. And that’s not acceptable.[/quot
I don't think its be said after many games .. we were the better team on the day, and yes it is acceptable as its happened to better teams than us.....unless you think we have a god given right to win every week....we haven't...

Oh
We can’t win when we are not the better team, winning ugly is a good habit to have in sport, Neil did a lot of that in promotion year. But he’s not doing it now. And failing to win when your apparently the better team is very concerning and very unhealthy for those of you who want Neil to stay on. At the end of the day, the man is working his notice, a lot of the fans are unhappy with what’s being served, the signings, the style or lack of it, Let him go, the Pro Warnock City fans I suspect wouldn’t be defending him if he hadn’t won us promotion from a precarious position. That’s called living on past glories. I am only interested in the now but more importantly the future, and Neil isn’t part of it, so what are we waiting for? Do the pro Warnock fans want an identikit Neil as his successor? They must do, because they tolerate and defend Neils performance, that tells me they would be happy for Warnockball to continue with the next manager, crikey I can’t begin to imagine that.
