Of course he needed to make the trip. He had to get his things to move countries as well as say goodbye to friends, family and work colleagues. It’s a normal process.

January transfer window purchases are often rushed and see a player sometimes arriving the day of the first training session. It’s clear more needed to be done to ensure safe passage.

Blaming Nantes is crazy though, he wasn’t their player and had nothing to do with it by then.

He wasn't signed in time to play on the Saturday but he could have/ should have been with his new team.

Bloody ridiculous arriving in your new home the night before your first training session.

Anyway.....

Thank you for laying out its £6 million times three plus two £500,000 add ons. I'm surprised addons so minimal. Those numbers don't seem to account for Agents fees though? Or do Agents fees come out of £6 million installments?

Also forgotten here is the club Nantes bought Sala from I believe had a beneficial interest. They are waiting for money too.[/quot

I actually made a mistake...the 1st 2 payments are 6mill the third is 5 mill....the add ons are as stated by FIFA.. I assume the agent tenders a bill to whoever they worked for ..im not sure who represented who here...think the add ons were minimal as we were paying top dollar anyway ? and yes bordeaux are owed a percentage which nobody mentions but also puts a certain pressure on Nantes to not take a reduced amount even if they wanted...

I’m pretty sure 2 agents said they didn’t want their fees, totalling around £2mill between them. Not sure if that is still the case or how it changes what we would need to pay.

Agents fees are seperate and are listed separately in the balance sheet.

So any fees owed would be on top of this.

Important to note that this is Nantes claim, not a claim from the agents.

However as I stated at the time, should CAS back up FIFA’s ruling, which they most certainly will, it leaves the door open to all agents involved and even the Sala family who may well be due payment due to death, but that would depend what is in the contract.
