Yes it would create a better atmosphere as it does in every other ground that do it. It keeps the hardcore away from the families and will probably mean more police/ stewards.
Away at Swansea town and west brom we were drowned out completely. Both results were poor so it does have an effect on away fans / teams.
Our stadium and fans are some of the best once we get going but we could be a lot more hostile for the away team and make teams fear coming here.
If you have ever sat in the family stand..and I've sat in every stand...you will struggle to hear the canton because the away fans drown it out with the distance between. Away fans must think our atmosphere is terrible at times.
Our home is a fortress at the moment so let's make it even more so and also help protect the young families in the family stand
So having rival fans shouting abuse at each other at close quarters is preferable to having no police and less stewards? What about after games there are half dozen games where there needs to be massive police presence to keep order, only need look at swansea game to see problem? Did you know liverpool away fans are in same stand as their family zone? Anfield rd
after the game ?
the away fans come out into a paddock / car park which is ringed by a substantial fence...besides we are next to the home lot most away games ...whats the difference ?
the club decided when building the stadium to keep fans separated area for safety reasons... away fans are next to ours at ccs so why move another stand to have away fans squeezed between two lots city fans or move away fans so that they're blocked in on two sides what's the point of that? Like I said before ccs is one of the newest stadiums in top 2 leagues and by far the best when comes to fan experience home and away hence won awards to that fact why change it so get more noise in ground? Do Wales games lack atmosphere When few away fans in ground ? No so blame fans for being quiet not where they sit.
well the club might be wrong you know... at Reading this year { modern stadia } we came out from exits no more than 10 yards from theirs and mingled..

Agree do it at most grounds but some games cannot do that and it's those couple of games that is the problem? And club could be wrong but isn't playing safe better than having reputation dragged down because of small minority? I dont have problem with moving any fans but dont see point just to see who shouts loudest?
Ps must not forget safety group had big impact on stadium design that's for sure and probably the reason for away fans being where they are

I have not signed Allan . just pointing out that clubs , many of who saw a visit by ourselves as a problem now have no issue with us being next to the home fans. I see your point about stadium design ,but the thought that went into it is 10 years old and I assume took what happened in games at NP into account and were very much in the thought process when making those decisions...our club is unrecognisable now { ive been told this umpteen times by different away fans who had visited NP prior to coming to the CCS }..times have changed, and although I sit in neither the canton or family stand I do think it would improve atmosphere.

The away end needs to be moved slightly as where it is the grange would be to small for our Canton end to move

Whats wrong with the section next to the away fans in the Ninian stand, when I had a season ticket it there it was pretty empty next to the away fans (and quiet).
I only knew a hand full of people in the Canton end but when ive mentioned it to them before they did not want to move.

Yes atmosphere will be better have no doubt about it! And tbh only minor trouble outside ground at away games in past two seasons , as there been any trouble at CCS other than coin throwing or ejected fans from home end? It is past troubles that have influenced things at CCS and like said is it worth the risk to move fans around just to boost atmosphere ? Really dont think it is and more importantly club doesn't think so either...
