and whos piggy bank money will the minimum wage come from ? Corbyn like Blair encourages immigration because thats why the vote lies , 3 something million extra flooding the UK during the Blair /Brown tenure, ever wondered why class room numbers and hospital waiting times have increased and the chance of seeing a doctor has diminished , the race to the bottom started in 1997

great question!

answer: the employers! if an employer cant afford to pay a wage that is suitable to live off then they shouldnt play at being employers should they?

ironically enough, when the minimum wage is lower than the living wage then those employees have to claim benefits to make up for the income, and who's piggy bank does THAT come out of?

also, living wage earners pay more tax alongside claiming fewer benefits. i dont know about you, but im tired of my taxes going towards helping other working people just because employees can get away with paying wages that the government themselves admit is not enough to live on

The problem then is that if smaller businesses can't afford to pay the wage and stop playing at being employers, what happens to the employees. They become unemployed and have to claim benefits. It's a never ending circle.

and it makes me laugh when someone assumes that I didn't know who pays the minimum wage , ( you obviously haven't grasped the concept of a rhetorical question  )
I'm tired of my taxes paying paying to those who can't be arsed to work , I've just spent a few days in Cambridge and guess what all the hotel staff were Polish and before anyone spouts out the race card,I have alot of time for that particular nation but if they're willing to work then why can't our "homegrown" talent have the same mindset of working hard and develop their skills to better them selves .I wouldn't like to start or run my own business for many reasons but the financial burden on employers to comply with legislation , training, national insurance, business rates etc and not forgetting the profit margins for small business no wonder its not universally welcome .

Amazed me for years how this is tolerated..as if the statements they make never happened. Until they’re sacked for misleading the public, it’ll never change.

Everything is in ‘Yes Minister’ and the sequel.

Leader of the opposition salary £143000.That’s a bit better than minimum wage.If a true socialist everyone should be paid the same .So we all get £143000 or Mr.C gets minimum wage too.One rule for us etc..

You're confusing socialism with communism there.

Socialism isnt everyone getting the same. Its greater parity between jobs and a greater wealth distribution.

You May have a point but where your point falls down is what are the options?

Are you seriously claiming that Boris is trustworthy!!??

He wouldn’t even decide whether he was for or against Brexit until he thought leave might win.

Personally I think nowadays I trust virtually no politicians but have to judge on their policies.

If people just compared policies I think this election would be a lot closer between the Tories and Labour than it will be if Corbin becomes the centre of the argument because he’s just not popular.

Corbyn and McDonnell are Marxists,
It’s been proven capitalism is the best system to lift people out of poverty, problem now is way too much wealth is owned by a tiny amount of people with not enough trickling down and that should be addressed but not with Corbyns all property is theft philosophy.

Corbyn is very different which is why the elite hate him. The lower class, and what's left of the middle class, should ALL be voting for Corbyn
