Re: " Is it time for Warnock to go? "

I was a massive fan of Dave Jones especially his football but even me I knew it was time for him to go and I'm saying the same with Warnock it's time for him to go now aswell

Let's be honest, we haven't looked convincing all season, even when we've won. We've had far too many draws. Fulham at home, when playing against ten. Sheffield Wednesday, a late equaliser that im surprised was allowed to stand. Last minute winner against Luton Town and Huddersfield Town. Nothing convincing about those performances. Blowing a lead at Millwall on Tuesday night, twice.
Today was just a nightmare. I actually thought for first ten/fifteen minutes we were okay. The goal we conceded was so shockingly bad; I dispair. After that, we couldn't string three passes together. Aimless, hopeful balls being hoofed forward straight to a white shirt. Tame efforts on goal, no intent or drive.
The only notable chance we had was the Gavin White chance. I can't take anything positive from today. Perhaps Warnock has taken us as far as he can. The way things are going, we won't get a look in at the play offs, more like looking behind us.

Personally I like him to have a January transfer window to correct things.

Another transfer window after the dross that has been purchased this summer!

Yes

Why?

As you can guess I am a huge warnock fan and he will go down as one of our best ever managers but it is time for him to go unfortunately. We now seem to have no idea how we’re even supposed to be playing not passing, but not even being tough and hard off the ball. Seeing Patterson on the wing with flint through the middle at the end was the final straw for me reminded me of Dave Jones bringing Jon Parkin on against reading in the playoffs (I think it was that game) i actually liked elearnocks football being tough and physical and breaking at pace but we are no where near that now we just kick it wherever we can and the players clearly don’t believe in it anymore. For all those who probably want jokanavic or some similar attacking manager In my opinion for what it’s worth that won’t work as the squad isn’t set up that way. Chris Hughton for me as he has been promoted a couple of times and can work with these players.

He can go with his head held high and probably our best ever manager

I would hate the crowd to turn on him, he deserves better than that

Also, gives a new Manager time to turn it around, this squad and team is a lot better than it is showing at the moment. Can still make the play offs but we need to improve and quickly

the sooner the better because even he will think its pointless trying to solve our defence out if they keep making the same errors every game.

I predict that if we are searching in the months for a new manage in the winter months then we will get relegated

Same here. I'm not one for firing people every time a club goes through a bad spell. The season before last the same manager got us promoted, last season the same manager almost kept us in the PL against the odds, and now three months into the season fans are calling for him to be sacked because we are going through a sticky patch. I think he has earned the opportunity to put things right, and if he can't, he is more likely to walk than be sacked.

The people in control of the club though are in awe of him. The other problem is there’s nobody in control who knows anything about football.
I’ve had a gutsful of Warnocks style and Blackwell and Jepson as well.

The manner of defeat today was shocking. Something has to be done , a change of manager before the next transfer window and possible loan signings has to be a viable option at this point.

Wow, we really have some awful fans here. Give NW the season as planned as it's not even November.

Embarrassing stuff lads

Yes it was embarrassing stuff. He’s been great for us, but, Warnock clearly isn’t the manger he was, it isn’t working so why leave it? Get a new man who can rebuild. He’s got time to work until jan when he start the clear out and bring in new players.

This Warnock is untouchable scenario was always going to give. The last 3 games have been diabolical and people can rightly see we need a change.

Would you give Warnock money to spend in jan given what he’s wasted?

Agree and he's said it himself, Steve

Hoping he'll turn it around and there's still time but he'll go down as a 'City Legend' at this club regardless and I don't think it will be his last 'rescue' job either! :ayatollah:

Love whaat he has done in bringing our club and fans back together but the time has come for a change. We need to play a different style. I don't mean tippy tappy from goal kicks but not just knocking it long. Please Neil leave now with our thanks

Why? Managers out of work will apply, why do we need to choose? The facts are he has said he’s going, his style and his team are not working.

His status as one of best managers will not change, he worked wonders but all good things come to an end. This is his end.

Three good midfielders, ones who can pass and move, link defence and attack and create chances, should have been brought in during the summer to replace the 3 that we lost and it would have been a different story. We would still be short of a striker and a mobile central defender, but we would have been much higher up the table.
We still have some quality in the team but too many players who lack basic skills and resort to hit and hope tactics. No one, apart from Ralls, even seem up for the derby and that is inexcusable.

Chris Hughton. Get him before anyone else does. He should have been appointed in May after giving Warnock 3 cheers and a wave off.

Agree although it is a difficult one to answer.

For me we should have started looking for a replacement when we are assured of relegation last season. I cannot see us attracting a quality manager like the clubs of Leeds United can while in this league. Dare I say it but we would attract the same level of manager as the Jacks who hit it lucky with Martinez. Perhaps its time for Pulis to come home and do the same as he did for Stoke.

Pack,Flint,Glatzel and Whyte have brought nothing to the side.
In fact Flint makes it look worse.
Pack the same for midfield.
Glatzel and Madine 11 million wasted.
Did anyone actually watch these players before purchasing

I never wanted him in the first place, I have never enjoyed his style of football, I feel zero excitement and admiration for any of his signings or the players he targets to suit this dated anti football philosophy. I was grateful for and celebrated our promotion, and I still don’t quite know how he pulled that off. He was awesome handling the Sala tragedy, great with the fans and media, and is a great bloke. But I have never enjoyed his football. We were poor in the Prem, and if we changed manager this time last year, we could still be there. Everyone turning on him on this site, but for me I saw not much difference today than most of all other games under Warnock , including promotion year where we just tighter at the back and a bit more potent on the flanks , the football was still mostly predictable and scrappy that year, we squeezed most results.

I want to enjoy watching my team, not since Dave Jones have I done that.

Please go now Neil and Blackwell

The next manager has to play similar due to the contracts of the dross purchased this summer.
So houghton for me.
Whoever comes in will have one hell if a job reshaping this side.
Flint or Morrison replacements

Pack in midfield

And some decent forwards x 2

I am a big Warncok fan but reluctantly I think it is time for him to go. His dealings on the transfer market have been poor recently the football is getting worse and worse with no signs of improvement. I am not saying he should go straight away but we need to looking round to see if there is a decent replacement available and if there is appoint him.

There comes a time in most managers tenure when it is time to go it happened with Dave Jones, and we were the better for getting rid of him. A cup final and automatic promotion in the following two season. Not sure if i trust the board to make the right appointment but right now we are paying a lot of money to go backwards under Warnock.

As for names of who might replace him Gareth Ainsworth is doing a brilliant job at Wycombe with few resources no guarantee he Is a championship manager but might be worth taking a chance on.

Rarely do we get who we want, and it’s not for us to say, we don’t hold the purse strings. However, I don’t know where we’d go after this in terms of playing style but a change is needed.

What's the point of filling your team full of giants if the quality of ball into the box, both from set piece and open play, is rubbish?

I am so pleased we got warnock as.put manager he has been brilliant but now is time to go. The performances all.season have been terrible even when we won...the players have been coached put of being decent footballers and looks like they dont believe in Neil anymore. Cannot believe the lack of fight

Teams getting relagated from the Premiere league are more often than not going to struggle the following year in the championship and now it’s happening to us.
Changing the manager could reap the rewards but could go the other way too.Players are more to blame than Warnock.
