You guys should be all over this in an attempt to find out who and where it originated from. I have a feeling the club also feel this is not Swansea based and are working with the police to investigate the source. I would love it if they got caught.

When Mikey Dye died, we had a minute silence and there was not a murmur in the ground. Some of our supporters then laid on a charity football match for his family. The latter made up of around 25 fans. If you think the rest of them will be able to recall the name of a Cardiff fan that we had a minute silence for 8 years ago then you are hugely mistaken. Unlike the deaths of Terry Coles and Alan Davies, he is not mentioned and has not been mentioned since the incident, hence the respect our fans have towards the incident.

I don’t need to condemn it, it’s obviously a horrendous act. What a stupid thing to say.

My point is this has all the hallmarks of a Cardiff fan behind this so the heading created here is intentionally provocative and using it to cause conflict. The fact it has come to light that it stemmed from a Cardiff WhatsApp group who won’t reveal the source should be all anyone needs to know to treat this with more caution than laying blame at a set of fans who have historically been absolutely respectful in both incidents.

The Cardiff fans who are allegedly behind this are spitting on the grave of both Mikey and Sala, and those happily using it to point score (which was clearly the intent behind the creation of it) are no better. I hope you are not doing the same.

With all due respect Sean, the player has nothing to do with us. I don’t feel there will be too many of our fans buying that this stuff came from Swansea fans so the need to chant the name of a player that you guys don’t even claim was yours... isn’t going to happen.

We had a player that died too, Besian Idrizaj. We don’t lobby that other fans would sing his name or pretend that other clubs are tarnishing his name. We retired his shirt, paid respect when we lifted the trophy at Wembley and left it at that. The outpouring of attention that appears to be needed over this tragic story is bordering on the ridiculous. You don’t even want to pay for him yet want everyone to sing his name in unity.

We have had dozens upon dozens if moments of respect for people that have died, doesn't mean we all know who they are or remember them forever, especially when not associated with our club.
