I think a lot of younger people forget that older people were once their age, and probably had a similar outlook. As you get older, you look beyond the headlines and the brainwashing media, and start to see things for what they really are. When I was younger, I assumed politicians were experts in politics. As I became older and got to know a couple of MP's, I realised that many of them know no more about politics than half the posters on here. They are just ordinary people who came into politics from all walks of life, some for the money and the perks, and some because they cared. It takes a while to see what is really going on behind the scenes, and many younger people will change their views with age and experience. Everybody is entitled to an opinion, but I know mine changed bit by bit as I became older, and I now realise that I believed too much of what I read rather than what was really happening.
