Swansea currently in the ascendancy and their pacey attacks are stretching the Cardiff defence

Joe Bennett looking a little culpable for losing his man for the goal

Neil Warnock is chatting to Josh Murphy on the touchline. Will he be as decisive as he was in replacing Bacuna versus Sheffield Wednesday last weekend?

Cardiff win a corner but it comes to nothing

There is no long way to go Sven this was game over when the lineups were announced and you know it. The fact they can make 6 changes to their starting 11 from last game and still be miles better than us says a lot. Etheridge is absolute bunk smithies better for all the blinkered fans we have

Etheridge distribution is truly shocking
How was Smithies dropped for him

Because some think Etheridge is better which simply is incorrect

That's what we want; fans who give up without a (proverbial) fight!

Not that I believe you are a proper Cardiff City fan. You only ever pop your head up when there's something negative to say

Meanwhile, the game goes on... :bluescarf:

Definately weaker with Glatzel up front, Bogle half time please

Glatzel was a last minute panic buy - don’t believe the ‘we have tracked him for months’ bull... we look like a team that doesn’t even have a plan

It's time for a change in manager we need new ideas now this is hurtful to watch no fight in are team and that's normally what a Warnock side has got..

agree. probably saw him score a hat trick against stoke in preseason and bought him like a game of Fifa

Very poor team, rubbish in possession, and for a big team we are shit at defending and attacking set pieces.

Our defence is soo slow and attack is soft. If you want to play Warnock's way and just kick the ball up in the air, you need a strong centre forward.

No fight
No idea
No passion

A goalkeeper who cant control a ball or kick it

A £5mill striker who is sunday league standard at best

Midfield bypassed by footballers

Two carthorse centre backs with zero pace

This is the worst cardiff team I have seen in 10 years

When are we going to change the pairing of morrison and flint i was hoping after he injured his hand nelson was going to get a game someone a bit quicker in defence missing the likes of manga.

Too many players way off the pace again.
Changes should be made at half time before we are overrun.
Sorry to say but we have bought a pup in Glatzel.

Ward in form and he drops into Tomlins role, shocking decision

HALF-TIME: SWANSEA 1 - 0 CARDIFF

After an even start overall, Swansea have shown the better attacking threat, although it took a Cardiff defensive error to concede the only goal so far

It was similar momentarily before the half-time whistle when a corner from the left saw a good Swansea header hit the bar and rebound to be put into the net; thankfully after the flag had already gone up for offside

Neil Warnock will be getting Fergie's hair-dryer out for half-time and there could be a change or two ahead of the second-half

Cardiff City are still in this game and a decent second-half after a poor opening wouldn't be the first of the season

C'mon you Bluebirds; the genuine fans are behind you! :ayatollah:

Glatzel is not up to this game plan or the championship, this is obvious to everyone except Warnock. He needs to come off for Bacuna.

Whyte may make it but another who hasn't stepped up from that one good game he had.

Marlon Pack is slower to the ball than Whitts was in the end and Warnock got shot of Whitts due to lack of mobility, but as far as I can see Pack is very slow.....

The definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting different results......Warnock keeps blaming them then pick the same set up.

Lucky its only 1-0

Glatzel off! Ward has done nothing, ralls is dire, defence is awful.

Glatzel is a scapegoat, he gets no service at all. Even the aimless long balls are aimed at ward, he hasn’t won any, and he’s done nothing. However, this is what we have become under Warnock. We can’t seem to cross to glatzel, he’s constantly chasing long balls down.

The goal is not just Bennett, it’s ralls as well. Of course ralls gets a huge love in on here so I am surprised it wasn’t glatzels fault according to some.

I actually think Glatzel has been ok they are vulnerable in the air and Glatzel will be a threat. Ward has worked but two up front doesn’t work unless it’s a more creative player like tomlin or Hoilett. Murphy will replace ward at half time but not sure what system that would be. Maybe whyte and ward off for Murphy and Paterson

Up until the goal we looked comfortable but the defending for their goal was absolutely shocking. Handed them the advantage as we always seem to do. Swansea have not outplayed us we just given them needless confidence by conceding first. Lets hope they regroup at half time as a point is still very winnable which was what I predicted at the start 1 v 1.
Promotion this year? You have to be absolutely joking!

This proves 2 upfront dont work as the wingers cant deliver any ball into them.

Let's get 5 in midfield and hope for a set piece :bluebird:

We have been entirely outplayed - both in terms of intensity and skill

I've been holding back on this for a while as I like to see where we are after 12 games but we are nothing but a low end mid table side of the Championship and feared before we got relegated last season this is where we will be for the next few seasons.

Being honest about it I prefer us to be here now. For me Warnock will be gone come the end of the season at the very latest. His successor will have a mid championship side ot build on. Hopefully it will be someone who will demand investment to build. It will be very interesting to see what happens.

In the meantime hopefully we will get the goal today to dampen the reality most of us are now accepting.

It’s gone exactly as I feared and as I expected. How can you lack energy in a derby? This kind of slow ball watching predictable performance with two big lads up top making that predictable gameplay even worse. Trying a combo out for such a big game and hoping for the best, that’s where we are at, and our fans putting all their hopes on a 33 year old centre half to get fit. Not one player inspires or excites me in our squad. And it’s all down to WARNOCK. Let’s not delay the inevitabile, let’s start rebuilding in January window and not wait for the summer. New manager now , new ideas, new tactics, more fluid quicker exciting football, we will need different players coming to to the club, as most of this lot aren’t suitable. As this reboot will take time , let’s start now. It’s difficult to stomach, we are poor in every department. We offer nothing . Even if we come back in the second half, I wouldn’t give a penny to WARNOCK, and bring more average bench warmers to the club. I have wanted him gone for over a year. Who knows We could have stayed up in the Prem if that change was made.

I agree with much of that but would keep Glatzel on. It is only 1 - 0 and Cardiff City can still get something from this game as it stands

Others think thould they give up now? :?

I think they are better than that; even if some of our so-called supporters (not including Barry Welsh) are seemingly defeatist at half-time

The time to dissect is once the game is over and the final result is actually known!
