No blame to anyone was excellent free kick but theyve grown in confidence because ver cannot score? We are always inches away from the ball never in right place....

Don't deserve to be losing at half time but if you don't take your chances this is what happens. This is still a very winnable game, City should not panic but need to up the tempo more. 1 v 3 final score.

City's failure infant of goal costly in the first-half.

Lacking a goalscorer as we have for a number of seasons.

Smithies should have saved it though. As good as the curve was, it ended up low and should have been simple for Smithies to dive and stick a hand out. Etheridge fingertipped those away for corners last season, fact. Say what you like about the free kick, Etheridge should be playing.

50% possession and 1 shot on target , thats 1 shot on target in the last 135 mins.

Etheridge would not have saved it unless you dont want smithies in goal and making him a scapegoat? :old:

I guess this proves that possession and territory mean little. The only stat that counts is goals for and against. Our scoring problem continues to be a worry, but plenty of time left for us to get at least one. Can't afford Hull to get the next one or I think that will be us done for today.

Steve even if draw I feel its 2 points lost going on 1st half performance cannot afford to keep missing the chances? Whilst stats may show one shot actual chances have been at least 4 and if had a goal poacher could have had 2 at least...

He should be in goal because he is the better keeper and its that simple. Etheridge is our number 1 and is fit and thus should be playing.

Though the fault in this game so far falls on us for not taking chances.

Cardiff corner

Jordy de Wijs called into action to deny Leandro Bacuna and then the Dutch defender heads away the corner. That resilience will have to stay throughout this second half.

Exactly mate. Should've been a couple up at least by the time they scored. If smithies is to blame for anything, then so are the rest of the team for not taking chances..
Yaaay!! We've just scored. :ayatollah:

Me to, hopefully he's getting used to the way we play and there's plenty more goals to come from him.

Bowler on

A first change for City, with Josh Bowler coming on in place of Leonardo Da Silva Lopes. Change of shape sees the hosts switch to 4-2-3-1, with Jarrod Bowen now playing as a 10.

Josh Magennis is down at minute receiving some lengthy treatment inside City’s half, Tom Eaves and Norbert Balogh are both getting warmed up.

Magennis on with a new shirt

He’s back in the game and is now wearing a shirt with no number on. He looks okay to continue as things stand.

Hull now on top

A couple of moments of good football leave Cardiff defending deeply. Bowen causing all sorts of problems in the number 10 role with both sides looking to counter one another.
