I think he looks very neat and tidy and puts in a shift. Just needs for one to go in off his arse to give him a confidence boost and get him up and running.

Agreed, asking a new striker from a different league to hit the ground running, ,is a tall order, unless you splash the cash, and even then nothing is granted :old: :bluebird:

Think its hard to judge as only last night's game we played balls to his feet instead of his neck. And on that he seemed confident and should of had 1. So I think another 2 or 3 games with tomlin feeding then we might see something

Yes.

He was good. Can't remember him losing many aerial battles - which lets face it is what he's there for, every time Smithies kicked it was to him! Just need to get people to the second ball. That'll come with time and playing together more often.

He'll come good for us. Should have scored 2 yesterday, but was unlucky with another and worked hard.

What sets him apart from strikers who have failed here, is that at least he's finding himself in 2-3 good scoring opportunities per game, which can only be a good thing.

I think there are some positives in Glatzel's game but there were certainly moments last night where he fluffed his lines when he ought to better.

Bogle impressed me, put a shift in, was physical and made himself a nuisance in amongst their defence. Was unlucky with his well hit free kick. Wonder is Warnock will chance starting him on Saturday?

He just moved here from Germany and is probably still a bit unsettled.

How people are saying he’s crap after 3 games is a joke. He’s in a new country with new team mates playing a new way and has done some very good stuff, people will only remember the bad and not the good, give him time, he’s only 25 so will only get better. Madine hadn’t scored in 20 plus games and Zohore scored 1 all season and not many the season we got promoted. He’s looked a lot more promising than any other of our strikers, GIVE HIM TIME. City fans can be so frustrating!!

Shit question, yes

Too early to say yet but with half an hour to go I was praying Warnock would bring on Bogle who has actually looked very good this season. There is certainly a case for Bogle to start ahead of Glatzel. That said Bogle only managed one goal in 16 games for Birmingham and was not prolific for Portsmouth either.Maybe later like Tomlin he has knuckled down and is a better player. Glatzel deserves a few more games before we start writing him off as the German Madine but he could do with scoring sooner rather than later.

You have to give a fair bit of leeway to our forwards as often the service to them is poor though it was pretty good last night and Glatzel still couldn't score. I wonder if Bogle had been on from the start he might have got a couple.Between them Madine Glatzel and Niasse have not scored in 36 games.Ralls has shown it is not impossible to score for us.

I will give him 10-12 games before he is judged. It’s no coincidence that all strikers struggle to score goals for us, doesn’t take a brain surgeon to work out why.

One thing for certain he has got more skill and pace than any of our other strikers. I believe he is our best striker followed by Bogle.

In fairness, in every game he has received very little ball. He linked up well with Murphy in the first game and had a goal bound header blocked in the second half. Very little service into the box.

Against Reading totally starved of possession & again against Huddersfield hardly any balls were played into the box from out wide. Pointless having a decent striker if you don’t give them the service. I am sure that as soon as he gets his first he will be on his way.

thomasblue wrote:3 games in , no goals and doesn't look like scoring really. He has missed a few sitters and should have scored 2 today.

You can see he is decent and he works hard but is he really any better than the rest ?

We looked a lot more dangerous when Bogle came on tonight

Would you stick with him or swap him out for Bogle/Vassell ?

I would stick with him, he is really good but just needs a goal!

Yes , needs a goal to kick him off .
Think he will bang a few in then .

I like how he puts himself about a bit. But he needs a goal desperately

haven't seen anyone call him crap on here.

He said this himself on city’s YouTube channel. Still settling in and his wife and young girls are coming over very soon, this will help him settle also. He mentioned the difference in style between here and Germany and the pace and physicality of the league which takes some getting used to.

He really does need a goal, the longer it goes the worse it will get.
Puts a shift in but needs a goal quickly.

He's used to playing in a two-man strike force. I don't think we're utilising him at all well as he's shown some really promising signs.

Space is a luxury in this league and he seems very comfortable on the half-turn and great under pressure, he's just lacking the support.

Best of the bunch, needs service, seems a tidy footballer though. Could do with being a bit more selfish in front of goal.
