Let's move on and get behind those who are here.

I love what Warnock has done to the club, but he has a limited style of football, which players like Reid do not fit into, so I don't know why he even contemplates signing such players.

Not quite how Warnock painted it.
Indeed, Luke![]()
As I said to BluebirdWhitchurch, it's all smoke and mirrors and both sides will have their slant and both will be slightly away from the reality
Pretty naive to believe otherwise

Disappointed to see Bobby Reid go; but at £11.5m for a player, that has to be seen as a great piece of business
Worse statement of the day (from Bobby Reid): "I've wanted to be here (Fulham)for a long time"
For the insert (Fulham) replace with any side prepared to take him and pay him...![]()

We can split hairs if we want but at the end of the day the player wanted out and Warnock didn't want him.
Yup, and he was under contract.
If Warnock didn't want him and put him up for sale fine but he's getting to good at spinning our fans.
Which part of all this has Warnock spun? It seems to me that it was a mutual agreement between the player and club to part ways.
So why is he rabbiting on about the agent and how he wanted to build a team around him.
Now it's Warnock didn't want him and put him up for sale.

Totally agree with you, i find it difficult to believe that warnock wanted to build a team around a player he hardly played last season after spending £10 million on him. Reid looks as if he has brought this move on by not turning up since pre-season training which is shocking, that said warnock's style of football will never play to reid's strength, so why was he bought in the first place???

It's good business sven but very disappointing to not see any of the money used to bring in quality replacements, especially in midfield.

Just tell me why are you always slagging off Warnock are you just a moaning sod or have you got a genuine reason for slagging him off, I have been supporting city over 60 years and he is one of the best managers city have ever had. there is an old saying "If you cannot say anything good about someone, then shut up and say nothing"

In my view the gaffer doesn't deserve this continued speculation about his motives where as Reid does.I don't understand our fans that want to take Reids version of events over the gaffers.

Reading what NW said in his press conference yesterday I think Reid’s moaned at his agent and his agent pushed as NW stated he wanted to build the team around Reid..... that says he was in the managers plans for this season but again it’s the same old story of agents involved and a player who thinks he’s bigger and better than a club

I would think the truth is somewhere inbetween. Both will say what suits them.

Luke, it transpires Bobby Reid's agent was actively talking to other parties some weeks before the Fulham announcement and Cardiff City were only told when the player's deal had effectively been agreed
That is what has angered the City hierarchy most and it was at this point they decided to let him go 'quickly' under the conditions reported elsewhere (£11.5m once certain criteria have been reached, inc. number of games played)
Reid himself has been one of three 'problems' in the City dressing room and another of those (Cunningham) was also shipped out, albeit initially on loan
The other has had the Riot Act read to him but I'll not name him, as he has a chance to redeem himself and had a decent game yesterday (removing the obvious candidate from the equation)
Lee Tomlin is surprisingly still here after efforts were made to ship him out right up until the transfer window closed. Don't expect to see him play a major part in the team going forward...

I'm going to guess that the third player was substituted in the second half yesterday and he didn't look too pleased about it either.
Just before he was substituted Warnock gave him an absolute bollocking for not chasing a ball forward to the corner and took him off shortly afterwards.
Had some good runs and touches yesterday but final ball or finish was lacking but also took a lovely free kick which led to our opening goal.
