Anyone else wondering why the hell Day starts over Smithies?

Because he is a better goalkeeper. The way some of our fans have reacted to the first game is ludicrous.

Also why has everyone discarded Hoilett to the bench? He is a better player than Murphy who is far too inconsistent. Given NML is injured apprantely I would start Hoilett all day long with Whyte and have Murphy on the bench.

How can you say a player who has never played higher than league 2 is better than a seasoned championship player and like Smithies after one game?

And he was very poor in that game by the way.

What a stupid comment it has no basis whatsoever. Smithies is by far the best choice to replace Etheridge at the moment, it's a no brainer

Because I’ve watched a lot of both players and Day is a better keeper than Smithies. What league they play in means sweet FA. For example when Hart was playing in league 2 for Shrewsbury he was still a better keeper than Enkleman playing in the PL.

Also unlike most on here I had actually watched Etheridge and said he was very good and would be first choice when most others and given your attitude probably you too were all saying Camp would be first choice.

Their is a difference in actually watching players and knowing about them and what most on here do which is just assume because certain players have played for bigger clubs than others they must be better.
