Warnock said in his Wigan post match interview that a few questions had been answered. I think Reid was one of them. He has not looked a threat pre-season and was completely anonymous at Wigan. My guess is the player has engineered all this too and if he was going to be a bad apple then best to get him out of the club. I am disappointed but not heartbroken at all. He still has a lot to prove that he is consistently a 20 goal a season player. Time to move on and focus on the quality we do have and we do have a decent team and a shout at the play offs this season in my view.

If this window has shown anything it's that, despite the same bollocks that gets trotted out every transfer window, the club really isn't serious about trying to compete for promotion.

Look at the official club statement on this deal and compare it with the statement on Greg Cunningham, with Reid it's "Thanking him for his contribution whilst at the Cardiff City Stadium", with Cunningham "It wishes him good luck during his time away from the Cardiff City Stadium"

That says to me Ried is not coming back.

reid was never played to his strengths. he's the total opposite to how neil likes to play. he's well suited to fulham.

Apart fr8m that 1 season his record is shocking, was he always playing attacker though? Basically Neil is admitting he got signing him wrong, and madine, and Murphy is on dodgy ground.....not looking too good for big money signings are we?

totally agree, he was a cracking player and a big loss at the back, Reid was totally ineffective for us, it was like playing with ten men!

Can't believe there's idiots saying they glad he's gone, we'll be left with lower league chancers but hey, if they can hoof the ball in the air or chase hopeless balls they are just what we need, Warnock style. Can't blame him wanting to go though it must be frustrating when you want the ball played to feet and not coming down on you with snow on it.

Agree with some earlier posts. BDR is a player you build a team around- thats what the Bumpkins did and look at the results- he was sensational that season.

Unfortunately, we get the ball forward really quickly either straight out to the wingers or with perhaps one or two touches on centre mid.
This means Bobby doesn't get on the ball because we don't really pass it around much in the middle.
IMO Bobby has NOT been given a fair crack considering his obvious talent. Why did we even bother blowing 11 million!??

I expect BDR to have a huge influence on getting happy clappers at SW6 promotion. He will assist loads of goals and will likely score a fair few.

Two sides to every story and all we have heard is Warnocks. Proof is in the pudding and there was certainly never any indication that Warnock was building a team around Reid, he rarely played him!!

WOW I've not wanted to comment as in Neil I trust But you have to question this .Played in the right roll hes a good player but to loan him is odd.
Seems like a waste of money from the time he walked through the door he just hasn't been given a stay in the team.
In a way I dont blame him wanting to go.
