Cardiff City have reportedly made a U-turn on their pursuit of Le Havre's versatile attacker Alimani Gory.

Reports emanating from France claim that Cardiff and the Ligue 2 side have agreed a fee of €2.5m (£2.3m) for the winger, who can also operate as a striker.

Bristol is okay?

What I mean is Fulham are genuine promotion rivals whereas Bristol won’t be. Of course I would hate to see him go to Bristol though, in fact I would hate to see him go to anyone in the same league as us.

I think you'll find that as it stands, Fulham will be genuine rivals to teams like Leeds or even Derby. We are at the level of Bristol City right now.

Groundhog day they want to call this day...

The time I've wasted chasing info (every cnuting window! :D ) , only to realise that its me thats the problem...

We all know the club are owned by a man who buys cheep and sells at a profit.
We all know Warnock has a style of football which limits our attraction to potential players.
We all know our team is built for work, not for skill.
We all know that agents really f**k this process up these days and make it painfully difficult to get things done.

What I should have done is not chased up on a hope of us busting a gut to march forward, I should have known better....

Luton town saturday, lets hope bacuna doesnt play and tomlin stays :bluescarf:

Cunningham agreeing terms with Rovers, that's one going - such a shame cracking LB

Re: " TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY OFFICIAL TOPIC "

If Reid goes Tomlin has to stay!!!

Apparently the model was to do a Burnley. As Warnock must have said a million times last season. Keep our best players and invest in a few to get back up. Our sqaud would then be in a much stronger position for our next chance to stay in the prem.

All a smoke screen!! We've signed gambles on the cheap.

Still time left in the window but not looking good!!

Slowly becoming the worst summer window I can recall for a good few years. Fingers crossed for a miracle in the next four hours...

But I have to say I'm bricking it. Other clubs around us have strengthened very well.. How we're expected to compete with the top 6 at the moment will be a mystery.

Demoralising to see how it's going at the moment

If we sell Reid and fail to win on Saturday things are going to get pretty hostile around here.

So much for Warnock having everything sorted and being able putting his feet up today.

We needed at least 3 by end of the window, that’s without losing Bobby Reid. If we lose him we need 4 in (2 midfielders, right back and striker), all of which need to be starters for us to challenge for top 2.

Can’t see that happening with 4 hours left unless we pull a few rabbits out of the hat. As with last season, we don’t seem able to compete with other clubs to attract our top targets.

We shouldn’t even be looking at strikers if don’t sign two CM’s and a RB then it is as idiotic as last season when we wasted millions signing a back up keeper but didn’t improve the first xi in the positions needed (striker and RB at that time.)

You cannot be surely still trying to convince yourself that Fulham are not promotion contenders? They are not promotion rivals because with the squad we have right now, we will be scrapping it out for mid table if we are lucky. Or, do you still believe with our squad right now, we are the envy of the championship?

If someone someone gets Austin then that is a magnificent signing for a champ club.

As for Potatoe Fulham are not promotion contenders and all the media and fans will be proved wrong just like they were by overestimating them last year. I look forward to laughing about just like I did last season.

AUSTIN PASSES MEDICAL

Sky sources: Charlie Austin has passed his medical medical and agrees a deal to join West Brom from Southampton instead of Bristol City.

The fee is believed to be around £4m; a two-year deal with an optional additional year.

Apparently Charlie Austin has taken a ‘significant’ pay cut to drop down to the Championship. Just shows if you actually have ambition and ask the question you might end with a bargain!

Fulham are not promotion rivals of ours because WE are not promotion contenders. It's irrelevant whether Fulham are or not

West brom have Zahore and Austin up front
We have Ummm actually who is going to play up front now we look like we've lost our 2 best forwards ?

Zohore is waste of space anyway. So physically talented but a complete waste. He might score a few wonder goals but did fantastically to con WBA out of £8 mill.

Austin on the other hand what a signing.

Zohore best forward

Thomasblue was correct in what he said our 2 best strikers were Zohore and Reid. They didn't have a lot of competition. Why continually slag off Zohore. He played an imp part in getting us promoted but he has gone now. I hope he does OK at WBA and wish him the best of luck.

It makes me :laughing5: that you think our other strikers were better. How come we had no offers from top Championship Clubs for Madine :laughing5: and Ward.

On a more positive note, I think some of the new buys might turn out to be good buys ... Hopefully Gladzel will be one
