A strike force that scores goals would be a good move for me.

Nixon said we were after that Arsenal kid, we were not. Hopefully he’s got this wrong as well.

He must have one hell of an agent!

What exactly has he done since signing for Birmingham to justify anything like that sort of fee?(If true of course)

If this turns out to be true it will make the £3m Wolves paid for Joe Mason look like the bargain of the century. :o :o

My mate is a Brum fan and rates this guy. Said he showed a lot of potential before a bad injury kept him out for a long time. Since then he’s been limited to a few appearances off the bench which has frustrated a lot of their fans. He seems to think that if he is fit and given a run of games he will score goals.

Seems a bit of a strange signing if it’s true. I won’t write him off until I’ve seen him play a few times but is he better than what we already have? I’d rather go with bogle and use the money on a CM.

I’ve just read their forum and the general view of him is way more positive than I expected. Many are gutted they’ve not given him a chance. I agreed CM needs to be our main priority.

There is no way on earth Ryan Kent would get sold for a minimum of 10m, especially after the season he had with rangers last year

I really dont see the point of this signing if it happens. We need to bring in two CM’s and a RB not a back up striker.

Would just be a waste of money though when it’s obvious that other areas need to be strengthened. Same as last summer when we spent millions on a back up keeper instead Of sorting out RB or a striker.

I know it's hard to understand why positions that look obvious too us fans need filling yet for 2yrs NW as failed to address with permanent signings of suitable quality? We're basically on a wing and prayer that he gets it right with perseved inferior players from lower or same league as us?

The problem is that having suffered such a serious injury it can often be the case that it affects a player's pace on his return.

Pace in itself is great as is height but there has to be an end product.

Vassell has a shocking goal scoring record at Championship level and undoubtedly being injured hasn't helped but this has all the hallmarks of a desperation signing made with eyes closed and fingers crossed.

Be disappointed with this one, much the same player as Bogle and hasn’t proved himself at this level at all. That’s not to say he won’t but it’s a big ask with the injury he’s had. If the figures reported are true then why not try someone tested at this level like Charlie Austin - not everyone’s cup of tea but gets goals in this league for fun.

I think it would be a good signing for us.Rather this than spunkin loads on a player cause he's had one half decent season.Reading this crap makes me think we should resign Ken.

After an underwhelming window so far, this signing further underlines the lack of ambition from the club (same as last summer)

Everyone can see the priority should be central midfield and getting goals into the side. Both appear to be ignored.

For someone who prides himself on buying bargain players and developing them, Warnock has wasted so much money - Madine, Bogle, Ward and now Vassel. How many goals have those lot got all put together? about 10.

Really hopeful this one falls through but I cant see it.

Thing is we realllly dont need another striker, we got lots (quality aside) so if he wants a some one wiht pace up from with Glat we can just use, Reid!

Looks a gamble, Brum fans really rate him, but will he ever get back to his best after that nasty injury?

I guess we may find out this season?
