It will come out this week we were waiting for him to make a decision and expected him to sign but he chose fulham and we didnt have time to sign anyone else.

He was always going to Fulham unless a club bought him? we were 2nd choice why do you think we havent gone for him this was known when transfer window opened ...

We were never in for him. He was never coming back here.

I disagree I think he was the premier league loan player Warnock me toned we could get if he does not get the move he wants

Trust me, on this I know.

If that is true and we were never in for him

It says a lot about our ambitions this season and our transfer team need to look at themselves.
He should be a top target at the price he was touted at , especially a loan

Is he what we really need? We need a calming player not someone who plays at 90mph and is likely to get banned or sent off? Hes a good player no question but would he be of benefit or inderence to us in long season..

Laughable this thread. Arter was never coming back here doesn’t make a difference if we were in for him or not. Personally I’m happy with vaulks, Welshman with fire in his belly will do a job for city for years to come.

Is that the same Vaulks who is behind Bacuna in the pecking order?

If he cant get into the team before him then he has problems.

I said in another thread I doubt Vaulks, Whyte, Day, and Nelson will get 10 starts between them before xmas because they are squad level only not starting level.
Hopefully the german striker doesn't join them on the bench once he starts because he is a unknown aswell

It’s the first game, vaulks will have his chance and take it IMO, and will cement his place in the team. Nelson should start instead of Morrison who’s to slow, day was bought as cover for etheridge, and whyte looked sharp when he came on against Wigan, don’t be surprised to see him starting soon.

FFS the way some carry on about him you'd swear he was CR7 :laughing6:

Again you dont know that

Hes not a world class player but he is a very good premier league player who was available, affordable and would make a massive difference to our side in a position we are looking for.
Our club would be stupid to not be in for him he should have been the #1 target before vaulks[/q

And you do I suppose?

Try looking on the positive side of the coin for a change instead of constantly chipping away at the clubs transfers, it was well documented that NW asked After and he said he was going to Fulham if he didn't stay at Bournemouth or get PL move.

One game in plenty to go so * don't worry be happy *

That's a blow, we did try and get him, not sure he is a Fulham player, but they have some really good players now and should be favourites, luckily they have a novice as Manager, let's hope he makes plenty of mistakes!

Ok in premier league but can you see him at 100mph in championship? Wouldn't take long for a ban or sent off! We need a calming approach to midfield not a whirlwind maybe NW realises this and that's why didn't go for him?

I agree with you.

We need more of a ball player/creative midfielder in my opinion. Play more through the midfield instead of constantly giving possession away.
