Based on what you’ve seen would you say him or Reid to start Saturday?

Unfortunately Reid had a very tough day today, his touch was woeful and he didn't look anything like the player we know him to be.

Tomlin came on for 30 minutes and looked hungry (excuse the pun!)....he wanted to get involved and did so. A few very nice touches but he also put himself about a bit, could well have been booked, but I think he was showing desire.

To answer your question I would start with Reid as one bad game does not make a summer. But, and this is a big but, I think Reid knows that Tomlin is breathing right down his neck. As we know, pressure goes one of 2 ways. Either Reid performs to his potential, which we know he can, or Tomlin steps up to the plate.

It's a nice problem for Warnock to solve. :bluebird:

Based on our current squad and today's performances I would play Reid up front with Murphy Mendez and Tomlin behind him in a 4231 formation
We can only play that if the ball is kept on the floor though

We aren't going to keep the ball on the floor though are we

Medine or Ward for me. We really should have at least one of the strikers we need in by now.

Thought Aden Flint looked really good and solid at the back and seemed to have better distribution than Morrison from what I saw but they both seemed to play well together (fingers crossed a good sign). Joe Bennett was brilliant as was Tomlin when he came on who looked miles fitter and hungrier than the last time I saw him. Also surprised by how well Bacuna played in the middle too. Disappointed in Ralls today who gave the ball away so many times despite the goal which was really well taken. Bogle looked very good too and caused the OGC Nice defence a lot of problems just needs to improve his finishing.

I actually thought we played well and could have scored a few goals considering the chances we created. And we seemed really comfortable at the back too which was a positive. Still felt today highlighted the problem of not having a holding midfielder who's composed on the ball and a striker who can score.
