“Gavin Whyte, Whyte, Whyte!”

Looks to be a reasonable investment in a 4th choice winger who is a good age and will act as an impact sub. Keep the big bucks for a central midfielder and possibly a striker unless Warnock is going to give the one we purchased ages ago, Madine a long-overdue chance.

Madine is starting today so it'll be interesting to see how he fares.

I’m in the minority, but from the little I’ve seen of Madine in a Cardiff City shirt he’s held the ball up well which you’d think would be ideal for a team looking to bring a dynamic front 3 (the wingers and an attacking midfielder like Reid) into play when attacking. Any news on Tomlin?

Gavin Whyte is the best thing to come out of Northern Ireland since George Best. He's a late deveioper, but with the pace of Daniel James, and an eye for goal (scores in 50% of starts) he's an absolute bargain at £2m. He will have 80+ caps for Northern Ireland by the time he's 30. Michael O'Neill (NI manager) rates him so highly he's started in all NI recent Euro qualifiers. Scored with his first touch in International football... need I say more.

Fantastic. I love the fact that we have speedsters in our squad who play as out and out wingers.
How do you know he’s really quick mate?

Looks like there’s been a bid accepted. Karl Robinson has told the local press as much.

Window isn’t closed yet though. Warnock has said he’s getting a striker. We’ll see 2 signings next week minimum I’d say.

I'm the same as you. Wins headers and holds the ball up. Granted didn't score but does everything else. Tomlin and him could click well.
