I couldn't possibly comment on Nelson. If I've ever seen him play I can't remember it.

For me, our squad is weaker than it was a week ago, yes the window is stil open so we can't judge till it closes. But I think our net spend this summer is now around -2m?

The problem isn't flint himself, though as someone els pointed out, it leaves us lacking pace a bit more and less mobile at the back. The problem for me is the business. There's no reason to believe manga wouldn't give his all for a final season before moving back to France in the summer and personally, like gunnersson, I'd have preferred that over what's currently happened.

I see what your saying but I think its an easier risk with Gunnarson, due to the increased finances you get from being in the Premier League. It makes the risk easier.

But our parachute payments will get less and less, year on year, unless we are promoted. So I don't think its a risk the club can really afford right now.

Manga value wise isn't to much of a risk, his value isn't going to go up much more, 31 now, he would be 32 when out of contract. For a little more we will have Flint on a longer contract.

This is the main point of the sale regardless of how important Manga was for us and Zohore had the odd good day too, we will get £11Million t refresh the squad while these two were in the last ear of their contracts!!!

They leave for free and take less risks due to injury worries in their final seasons while running the clock down, it just has to be done!

Shame to see Manga go but we can cope and trust Warnock to sort the defence.

Strikers we really need Warnock to up his game. Got this feeling we will buy a load of small strikers or think he can play Reid uptop on his own then end up with Patterson.

Reid and Patterson will work well together up top in the championship. We need another CM and a RB before we should even be thinking of getting another striker in.

Totally disagree. Reid wants someone he can play off, play balls into and feet and use it well. Patterson is nothing more than a battering ram upfront. I think he will struggle even more upfront in the championship with teams looking yo sit back against us. If Patterson plays more than the odd game upfront I have no doubt we will struggle but I'm sure it won't come to that.

Patterson is a big no as playing with him in team knullifies other forward players! He won very little in attack in his spell upfront and never held ball up so it was pointless playing ward or Murphy..... not sure what was worse Patterson upfront or stupid ploy of putting every ball from dead ball situation towards Morrison's head when marked by two players! That didn't work either ...

If Patterson gets his deserved run up top this year he is going to make a lot of people on here look stupid. His scoring record last time in champ was impressive and he wasn’t even playing up top and we had a weaker overall squad than this time. Play him up top with Reid and watch them strike up a good partnership.

I totally disagree as well.
Patterson is not a centre forward, that is plain to see, however he’ll do a job wherever Warnock puts him. He’s become a popular and valuable utility player - but striker he is not.
We definitely need a quality player up top and I think Warnock will just go for the one with Bogle and Madine as back up as long as there are no bids for either. If there are bids they’ll be gone in my opinion.
