A lot of us on here will remember being able to drive down Queen Street and more recently St Mary Street. It wont be too long before Castle Street and part of Kingway follows suit in being closed to traffic.

That is the master plan of council no traffic in city centre plus the entire city residential areas be 20mph basically this regime want no cars in Cardiff only bikes

People will soon find alternatives if they need to. Just a shame that the council are a few years behind in providing those alternatives but they are making slow strides.

This council which I believe as been labour for the duration is so out of tune with its residents it's time for change? They've destroyed the bus services they put in bike lanes in rds not big enough they allow 2 carbunkle buildings at station they think can do anything they like and its ok ..... glad I left years ago :old:

A nice rebate and apology letter from the DI should do..

Whilst I have a small amount of sympathy with the protestors cause, the police have clearly taken sides and their conduct is disgraceful and shows how much they have become politicised. Can you imagine them sitting idly by if Tommy Robinson and his lot had staged a sit down protest!

Exactly, I have no faith in our police.

PC plod one in charge said their is legal action can be taken regarding blocking rds but they balanced it with right to protest so they decided it was ok for 2 days but behind scenes threats were being made to protesters so he (in his words) asked them nicely if they wouldn't mind moving protest to city hall! Bristol had right idea they wouldn't tolerate blocking arterial rd into city and protest had stepped over the line so police moved in and threatened them with arrest protest didn't last long but still caused 4miles of traffic jam on m32! :o
